  • its called COUNTER STEERING

  • yeah your initial response was correct but once its obvious that your going to spin you should cut the wheel the other way your front tires were perpendicular to their direction of travel causing them to dig and all the force went above the point of friction (i.e. where the rubber meets the dirt). glad your ok, really gotta know what to do if your going to be on the track though

  • you dont have any reflexes...

  • Too early into the turn

  • Even though I have never done an autocross or a track day, I have had an instance where my Subaru Outback started to spin. I was turning left, felt the rear-end start to spin, then I immediately countersteered, turning the wheel at least 180 degrees when my Subaru went over a patch of mud on a mountain pass. The countersteer was perfect, and I was fine.

Even an overconfident fool like me has a better reaction. Or perhaps the guy got unlucky or something...

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!! Ran out of talent

  • Slow hands wreck cars.

  • He's not a skilled driver to roll a AWD Subaru. The turn was so easy to corner. Rookie

  • you must suck as a driver to roll a AWD Subbie.

  • I've did the exact same thing at the same spot today in iRacing

  • perfectly sumed up..........FUCK !

  • FUCK!

  • Did he died? xD

  • He got more problems than fucking up 4th gear... Lmfao

  • hahahaha that was sooooo funny

  • i rock a legacy wagon... she rips up lookout mt. like a dream. up or down... id loce to rally like these fucks...

  • FUCK!!!! says it all realy

  • Lift off oversteer. amateur mistake

  • @ulvedav I think you're probably right, but he was also a bit early on that corner.

  • i have the same gen. legacy. handles like a beast

  • Legacy on the track! COG a little high me thinks.

  • bahhahahahahaha!!!!!

  • What happened here? I'm probably completely wrong but it looks like he got into the apex a little early and maybe lifted out of the throttle to correct it. I'm glad that he got a new car. And I'm glad that he's still tracking his cars. Where's his webpage?

  • Dude if u look at his hands when the back end of the car begins to step out, he does nothing... He has such a delayed reaction that he could have easily saved it. Not to take anything away from the guy of course and i am glad that he is okay but he could have saved some money if he had quicker hands. Nothing teaches u better than racing go-karts. :)

  • I was looking to see if anyone had the same thought and you hit the nail on the head. Racing go karts and getting a dirt bike side ways will teach you. It's tough for the teacher in the passenger seat to put this into words that can help, he just needs the experience.

  • lmao, i think he should stick to the bus in future, Americans really don't understand corners.

  • Shush.... the grownups are talking.

  • I am glad that he is ok because he could still say "Fuck". His insurance company will most likely pay for this and hope we can see him driving a new STI in YOUTUBE sometime soon.

  • Yeah he replaced the Legacy GT with another Legacy GT which he still has. I believe he also has a CTS-V now too.

  • @vincent82123 I don't think his insurance will pay. Why should they?

  • @vincent82123 Actually, I'm not sure where Lime Rock Park is, so depending on his state/insurance company, chances are they won't insure him since he's on the track. :) I could be wrong, but I know that's how it is here in Pennsylvania.

  • did he have to pay for that?

  • I'm sure - he was driving his own car, and it was totalled.

  • these people must have a lot of money. it must be nice to be able to live like that.

  • At least it's not a total loss... like a fire. He's just got a full parts car for his new GT... haha

  • Ah that one hits home for me because I also have a nearly stock legacy and it really puts it into perspective how easy it is to lose it, and I've shouted those words after hearing crumpling metal a few times before also.

  • I am really sorry and i'm glad no one was hurt.

But i have to say that this video is one of the funniest i've ever seen.

Having the explitive shouted right when the heads go down - for some reason it makes me laugh every time.

    Again, i am sorry.

  • theres no need 2 be sorry for finding something commical

  • unlucky mate

av bin in a car that rolled on a track day but the car i was in had a roll cage good job it did seeing how much the roof on ur car collapsed

but good to say u dint get badly hurt and do u still go racing?

  • Wasn't my car but from Patrick's story online he wasn't hurt, and yes he still does track days and stuff.

  • Fuck! Quite! So easy to roll once sideways on grass. Interesting interior shot showing how much roof caves in from inside. At least they were uninjured.
