  • How do you eat this? If u break it off then the whole thing might collaspe!

  • @TheHk145 If you are going to eat it, it won't matter if it collapses.

  • Yoyomax12 you should have your own website

  • Can you still eat this?

  • why use reconstituted egg whites versus egg whites from an egg?

  • @cruiscinlan Because the reconstituted egg whites have been pasteurized and the risk of salmonella poisoning from raw egg whites is removed. This frosting is not cooked.

  • @yoyomax12 haha thats funny

  • AWSHUM!!!!!

  • OMG this is amazing!! I bought just the regular gingerbread house and did horrible. You did everything on your own and mad a beautiful log cabin! Great job :D

  • you're amazing!!!

  • Nice intro.

  • I am so impressed by your craftiness and patience. Thanks for posting!

  • I understand why, but is there any way you can make it look less "messy"...(all the icing makes it look like it..) But I still LOVE it! GREAT JOB!!! :D

  • @fillefrancaise98 I've had issues with houses collapsing before. You could get away with a lot less icing probably, but would sacrifice strength and stability.

Remember I had to transport this house into a car, drive it about 15 minutes on terrible road and bring it into a school. I'm sure that you could could be a lot neater with the icing that I was. This was the first time I made this particular house and probably would be better at it the second time :)

  • @fillefrancaise98 Real chinking in cabins is messy, though :)

  • This looks like way to much work.. I'll pick to the pre-built, store-bought kind. Lol!

  • omg youre a genius!

esp love the windows and doors part

its really cute to have those christmas decorations on it :)

  • WOW!!!!

  • Great job Tammy!! I hope the school sells uber amounts of raffle tickets!! I know Max must be thrilled that you did this for him and his school

  • So much work but an amazing looking result. The log cabin is beautiful, I bet Max's school is thrilled that you made it for them to raffle.

  • You did an amzing job hon!

  • I always enjoy your videos. So much fun!

  • That looks awesome, fantastic job!

  • the only thing that I can say is: Wow! :D

  • There has to be a contest you could enter (and win)

    Beautiful job!

  • well dont it looks fantastic !

  • It's looking like snow on the house! :]

  • Awesome! My Husband told me we are not allowed to try and make this together because it would result in divorce or his death! lol I guess I'm not that fun to bake with :)

  • It's too beautiful to eat :(

  • The house is gorgeous by the way you're really talented! :-)

  • Can you imagine if you did all that work and the kids came running and knocked it down by fighting with each other. Those are some dead kids lol

  • aww, i wanted to like this, but there's no like bar there :(

  • woah! great job!! :) thanks for sharing this :D

  • ur an awesome cook tammy!! and that is the most AMAZING gingerbread house i have ever seen!! you can come visit me and make me something anytime!! LOL, but seriously you are an awesome cook! :D

  • That is the coolest gingerbread house EVER. Remarkable job, Tammy. It took a lot of patience, and some creative use of soup cans to make it all work, and seeing it finished on the kitchen table, I can see why you couldn't keep it. It *is* huge.

  • Very cute nice job

  • Max has the coolest mom!!!

  • my goodness! fantastic job.. once again, you rock the house. :) thanks for the vid.

  • how long does the entire project take?!?!?!

this is amazing wanna do it so bad but i cant:(cuz my parents said no haha

  • @everythingbyemily23 It took close to 20 hours in total I think

  • haha this brought back memories in 3rd grade when we made Ginger Bread houses but had to go home and make our own icing and when my mom didn't watch me when I was putting extra ingrediants and when it said sugar I mistakenly took salt and the whole thing tastes sooo bad xD

  • OMG! O_O it's amazing, you are an artist

  • Many icing and dough! Yeah, lots

  • i would not have the heart to eat it after all that hard work! plus it looks sooo good, well done on this one! :)

  • I'm such a pig fan! Have you ever tried the peanutbutter melting wafers and are they good?

  • @MySmiles4miles Can't find those wafers here, so I've never tried them.

  • @MySmiles4miles i've tried them, they're good :D

  • I guess I don't understand gingerbread houses/cabins. Are they just for decoration? Or do people eat these?

  • @ebuff57 Umm it just depends some people just eat them, and dont do anything with him and sometimes they just let them get stale WHICH I HATE and think is a MAJOR waste of money! But oh well lol

  • @ebuff57 Both

  • that is gigantic!

  • That looks amazing!! And what a great thing to do for the school! Awesome job Tammy!

  • wow this is the prettiest gingerbread house I ever seen. How long was the entire project? I just made a Wilton one with my daughter and it took us two hours! My 3 girls and I really enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for sharing your skills with us. Happy Holidays!

  • @Anaisjoue Start to finish was about 20 hours if I add up all the time.

  • I think I would use those chocolates that look like rocks for the side of the chimney's :]

  • @Appiebunny I just finished the house and then I noticed the candy rocks in my cupboard and I thought the exact thing you just mentioned. I could have used these for the chimney!

  • That's AMAZING!! Great Job!! :D

  • @______@ that looks realistic, i want it!

  • w...oooo.....w

  • If I even attempted to make this, my kitchen wouldn't even be near as clean as yours! :) Great job! :)

  • Fanastic! Absoloutly love this and appreiciate all the work you put in :)

  • I don't even know what to say, it is so beautiful. I watched the entire thing, both videos from start to end - couldn't type while it was on because I didn't want to miss anything. I have questions: How many batches of the Royal Icing did you have to make? How did you keep it soft, or is it good for enough time to do all the construction? Is Max used to all these things or was he sufficiently impressed at the final result? You will finish the story, won't you, and tell us about the raffle?

  • @popparoc46 I made three batches of royal icing for this. It stays soft as long as it isn't exposed to air. So if you put a damp towel over the surface when not using it stays wet.

You need to keep it covered between "re-loads" of the icing bags.

Max told me that he thought it was big, hubby said it was okay. Yep....total lack of enthusiasm, happy to have my YT comments to bolster my ego a bit ;)

I will vlog about the raffle (the tea/bazaar is on the 18th of this month)

  • How to eat it?!

  • @FunkyPrank You whack it into pieces or gnaw on it like a monster in a Godzilla movie

  • Good Job! hopefully they get a lot for it! Best one I've seen this year.

  • I wanna eat it

  • WOW! That's incredible. There are so many steps that anyone could have messed up, but this turned out really good. I hope the raffle went well.

  • This is very amazing ...!! One question ... are you a baker or you just like doing things like this?

  • @lamartita24 Just a hobby for me :)

  • Really well done, I enjoyed watching this! 11 minutes went by like seconds!

  • @emiratescrew Thank you, I was afraid people would think it was too long, but there was so much to show, it was very difficult to get all that into into 11 minutes

  • @yoyomax12 OMG thanks for the reply! I pictured you actually speaking with me in my mind! I don't blame you, film craft is usually a tough job! Especially while excited!
