I used to have a white husky. She was so extremely sweet. I was a bit worried because I had read all kinds of things about huskies not being good around cats and I had a few. . .but she was fine with them. She was even good with cats she didn't know. She was even good with my birds. I don't think she had a mean bone in her body (RIP Luna, I miss you girl!)

I think it all depends on the individual dog and how they are raised. Don't believe all the stereotypes!

I'm really surprised at how gentle your husky is. Probably just a really smart dog, but still. :D

If you do it in the reverse order, older cat, puppy dog, it usually works out fine. This, however, is pretty crazy... And cute. :P

Our saintbernard literally OWNS a cat! XD We feed the dog, the dog feeds the cats. Our two dog - a 2yr old saintbernard and a puli puppy - usually sleep together with the cat.

the husky wasn't being gentle. i've had two huskies before, and it looks as though that dog wanted to attack the kitten and the kitten was naive and thought it was a game. this confused the husky though. notice how it keeps looking back at it's owner. if the person weren't there, the husky would probably have the kitten in his mouth.

im pretty sure the kitten was the unhappy one. the dog left it alone for a bit and then came back, and was completely gentle with it.

The kitten is just a little scared because of the size-difference, and the husky seems to know how to play with this kitten. If you look closely they are playing a simple "fighting" game that puppies and kittens play.

are u a moron? that dog could have killed that kitten at anytime it was only playing you fool! years ago we had a shepard that used to play with our neighbours kitten, it used to actually hold the kittens whole head in its mouth with nothing but love and when that poor cat eventually died from a car accident our dog would run outside and cry looking for his friend that would no longer visit her.

That kitten is only alive because it found cover. The dog can't help it, he has a high prey drive. He almost had the kitten several times but couldn't get in position.

It's trying to defend itself. It's too nervous to stay in one spot, so it keeps moving, trying to keep ahead of the dog while keeping it's eyes on the dog and claws at the ready.
