I think NATO is playing wait and see however I think the general consensus in the west is the saying: "Better the devil you know than the devil you don't know".

Qaddaffi will win due to much better organization, leadership, a much better managed supply situation, better coordination, support along with better quality of troops.
The rebels only have numbers and morale which is gradually crumbling as Qaddaffi is capturing more rebel towns.
The ony thing which would defeat qaddaffi is a NATO intervention which is beginning to look unlikely as NATO is fiddling.
I agree with the idea that the no fly zone will have little impact on the fighting. Qaddaffi only has a few planes and msot of the bombing runs are missing their targets, the effect is mostly psychological, however a no fly zone will probably ground qaddafi's gunships but he only has a few of these too.
What qaddaffi has in quantity is artillery which he is using to great effect to blast the rebels out of existence.
Overkill what the Americans do best honestly the last time they didn't overkill was Vietnam. Yeah they put a lot into Vietnam but they didn't lay waste to the north or Nuke them. Since then the US has been overkill in almost everything they've dealt with Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, you name it. This is just another Bosnia style situation the US bombing the hell out of people they don't know nor care about.

Nope, Serbia loses were small some 200 soldiers and those are from fighting with Albanian rebels in Kosovo (some 2000 Albanian rebels were killed by Serbian troops), NATO only killed Serbian civilians, some 4000 of them. As for Milosevic NATO didn't brought Milosevic to hague, but we Serbs ourselves gave Milosevic to hague (in 2001) because we were sick of him ruling us.

There is nothing to invade; All the oil has been pumped out by western companies since the 60's anyway. There is nothing to steal in Libya. In Gaddafi's case, that strategy obviously failed as the rebels are using weapons supplied by the CIA and affiliated professional agitators. This rebellion happened because Gaddafi dropped his guard against U.S. imperialism

@JDubs878 Your reason is not correct and based on false information. The majority of Islams are peaceful people and you went to the library and read books about their culture, their religion and their tradition you would understand them better.
Watching the news on TV is the least informative way to get authentic information about such a complex race/culture.
Libraries and universities are the best place to do deep research.

I'm not going to disagree that most Muslims are relatively peaceful, BUT out of all religions Islam is the one in the news most often for all the wrong reasons. When was the last time you heard of Buddists or Hindus etc making headlines for suicide bombing people? And when's the last time you heard people other than Muslims stir shit up in Europe/America?
Also its pretty hyprocritical to say most Muslims are peaceful, yet not acknowledge that MOST WESTERNERS ARE PEACEFUL AS WELL.

Tell the thousands of dead Libyan that the Libyan air force is "pathetic". Although it is true that six American carrier fighters could take it out, so in a way, yes, it is pathetic, but only when compared to western air forces. I guess they are 'only' Arabs, so let them die (not my opinion). Obama must know something that we don't know.

The reason the no fly zone, which has taken so long is because of people like him being so utterly boring and indecisive and causing meetings to go on and on and on and on and thus inconclusive results will stall any kind of advance on a clear cut decision and There will be a no fly zone implemented and it will have a huge impact on the outcome of the Libyan war. Remember this is totaly different

I think NATO is playing wait and see however I think the general consensus in the west is the saying: "Better the devil you know than the devil you don't know".
I think the US and the west figures that gaddafi would be easier to deal with in the end rather than a unknown factor which are the rebels who don't have a definite leadership. Also the west would have on up over gaddaffi as gaddaffi needs western help to rebuild Libya after the war.

Qaddaffi will win due to much better organization, leadership, a much better managed supply situation, better coordination, support along with better quality of troops.
The rebels only have numbers and morale which is gradually crumbling as Qaddaffi is capturing more rebel towns.
The ony thing which would defeat qaddaffi is a NATO intervention which is beginning to look unlikely as NATO is fiddling.

I agree with the idea that the no fly zone will have little impact on the fighting. Qaddaffi only has a few planes and msot of the bombing runs are missing their targets, the effect is mostly psychological, however a no fly zone will probably ground qaddafi's gunships but he only has a few of these too.
What qaddaffi has in quantity is artillery which he is using to great effect to blast the rebels out of existence.

Overkill what the Americans do best honestly the last time they didn't overkill was Vietnam. Yeah they put a lot into Vietnam but they didn't lay waste to the north or Nuke them. Since then the US has been overkill in almost everything they've dealt with Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, you name it. This is just another Bosnia style situation the US bombing the hell out of people they don't know nor care about.
