  • I make peace with myself when I listen to these guys

  • I can understand why some people wouldn't like this. This song does take a bit of patience, and people are idiots.

  • why the hell would you come on here and dislike a video? no one is forcing you to watch it... plus how is it even possible that people could dislike this?

  • After seeing this film, they seem much more like humans to me, Sigur rós and Jónsi and everybody..

I feel like they are not saints and gods's avatars anymore, they are just like everybody I know, they also have a home, like me

  • thiz iz my fav song and it inpirez me

  • is this from disc 1 or 2? i got the dvd and its nth like this...did i get ripped?

  • I´m Icelandic, it´s cool you should try it :)

  • @28ZappY looooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • It's terrible how so few people have even heard about Sigur Rós

  • @Ripasceltic

I think it's better that only a minority know them. It's fine. It's makes us blessed.

  • I went to Iceland this past July. It is simply captivating. I stayed with a host family for two weeks and drove around. I'm more than likely moving there next fall. Iceland makes me feel like a kid again!

  • @driv1937 Hahaha!!! I too watched Heima, went to Iceland in July, stayed with host famil(ies), drove around the country, fell in love with it, found a job in Reykjavík, and am moving to Iceland as soon as soon as my papers go through! It's a small world, isn't it?

    Ertu líka að læra íslensku?

  • @KarenRei Já, ég er líka að læra íslensku, Jónsi hvetja mér :))

  • Iceland is beautiful. I spent 18 months there when I was in the USAF; Jan 1975 - Jul 1976, and didn't ever want to leave. I dearly want to go back someday, and take my children with me, even though they are adults.

  • Napoleon once said, "Imagination rules the world." Well, guess who heard those echoing words? Sigur Ros.

  • Reverse waterfall = Mind blown

  • I died... and then sigur ros brought me back.

  • Fantástico, iniciando este documental con la épica Glósoli.

  • amazing !!! :D

  • iceland is so pure wonderful beautiful people.

  • This is so stirring. It gives me waves of goosebumps.

  • this is so fucking amazing

  • bieber must watch this to make beautiful & meaningful discography.

  • I understand that pull to return home to Ísland...Reykjavík, Akureyri... :/

  • That stomping noise or whatever was really annoying.

  • insert beauty into reality

    bring dreams into life

    focus on hidden destiny

    daughter son husband wife

today was yesterday and tomorrow tonight

    unconditional love believing in life

    days together days apart

love you forever with all my heart

  • @norton36456 beatiful..

is it from the movie, or some song?? Thanks =)

  • I am convincing my parents to move there so that I can visit them there and stay for free.

  • If God was a band ...

  • I watch this when I really need to go home. To my only Home, which I feel in my heart. And Iceland is the nearest place to my visions of Home. I need to go there.

  • Great unique country, too bad of all the volcanoes and difficult language lol

  • its just like...

the mothernature whispering "hey, make sound like us,its gonna be awesome!" to Jonsi ear...

    then Sigur Ros was born...

  • 5 people don't know where their home is.

  • Comment removed

  • Iceland look so beautiful, I hope to live there one day.

  • @dreamzzinc11 you are super lame.

  • @htavilap Why do you think that I am 'Super' Lame? I am just curious. Did I offend you anyway? Thank you.

  • 5 people here don't have a fucking clue

  • @moviedude34 Don't get your raybans all in a bundle...

  • @moviedude34

Lol that means in 10 months there was only 1 more dislike

  • out of this world :)

  • /watch?v=gz0RAPmp8DQ

  • what's the name of the song playing?

  • @skipbeatzombie

    glosoli

  • I melt backwards when I hear this too

  • The music that Sigur Ros/Jonsi produce has really made a difference in my life. It's the first music/artist that has ever just clicked in my head and made sense. I seen him live in Milwaukee a few months ago and it was the best performance I have EVER seen in my life. I don't think much else could ever top it...

  • btw - this should get 200 million views .

  • i have goosebumps every time i watch the beginning because this movie is so amazing. i have seen it for like 20 times already, absolutely love it. and the music is amazing.

this is by far the most beautiful movie/documentary ever made.

  • there's a reason for EMI stand under the 3 other great recording labels, on sales: they worry about good and amazing music like this!

  • O meu orgulho é viver na Islandia.

  • @nunolf180 Lindo país! E possui Sigur Ròs possivelmente uma das melhores bandas da atualidade!

  • i love it, but best documentary of all time? maybe music docus, but all? not a chance.

  • wweeeeiiirdddd, i've watched this before a few years ago really late at night, and yet i didn't realize it was sigur ros :| getting really deja vu.

  • Saw this two years ago (2008) on Christmas day on the Sundance channel in the U.S. Still drawn to it on a regular basis. Deep, ehtereal, beautiful stuff.

  • I gotta say, that Sigur Ros has an amazing music, and this movie is amazing.

  • impresionante!

  • Jonsi is brilliant

  • Genial. Felicidades.

  • Iceland looks like its cold as shit during the summer.

  • this music has made me find my soul

  • I love what a diverse crowd Sigur Ros attracts- it's quite astounding. : )

This just shows that music with true emotion and heart stays with people so much longer then a jam on the radio.

I've loved this song/band for 6 years now.

And I still cant get over how powerfull Sigur Ros music is.

  • @GracellaLaMagica Actually the reason for the diverse crowd is that the band were playing in very small towns and communities all over Iceland for Heima, and most of these inhabitants were curious to see something they haven't seen before. Whole towns came to see Sigur Ros! Some of whom who have never heard or seen of them before.

  • It's beautiful.

  • We should support more Finnish music, like this great band!

  • @CatabolicWaffle are you trying to troll here? :P

  • It took me a couple times to really feel their music in my soul. It is amazing how over the past 5 years I have used their music to help me through the hard times. Truly more than just music, it is a spiritual art.

  • LOL! matt janik... i found this through youtube and thought I recognized the name

  • this is the music of heaven

  • This is beautiful, thanks for uploading it! I adore Sigur Ros. Iceland looks beautiful.

  • Iceland looks amazing.......I really want to visit there one day

  • @trafficjam10

I live in Italy and my dream is to visit it a day :D

  • @trafficjam10 ...iceland is a masterpiece by accident. we went a year ago after watching this documentary. there are no words to describe how perfect this place is- breathtaking around every corner. majestic landscapes. we honestly cannot wait to go back. you should go!!! (PS check out our travel doc by searching "Adventures in Iceland" - we're the first one that comes up) :)

  • Does anyone know if "Samskeyti" is on this?

  • I`m just going to assume that the three people who disliked this meant to press the like button but missed. There`s no other explanation.

  • This a great dvd. Any sigur ros fan should def buy it. Glosoli is prob my No.1 Sigur ros song too. Jonsi is Amazing!!!!.

  • Chingonsisimo video

  • powerful.

  • What's the name of the song please

  • it always passes

but it gave me a good feeling to.

  • Great !!

  • Thanks for the upload. Now I can listen at work! <3

  • Again, I think they are saving the world with their music. I cry from happiness every time watching this. True art right here.

  • Sigur rós makes me proud of beeing a Icelander :)

  • I love Sigur Ros and Iceland. Have been there three times-south, east, some west, and north...an experience of a lifetime. And a huge, huge blessing!

  • Amazing feelings!

  • Before I die, I need to go to Iceland

  • You should, it is desolate yet beautiful. I can totally see where this music comes from. Icelandic people are really nice too. I'm so glad I went there. It's a bit expensive but worth it :)

  • @omgitshardtofindanid Do you know what the laws on becoming a citizen there are?

  • @CamerOneiric Not really, but I recall someone mentioning they are very strict on immigration. Looks likely they will join the EU though, so if that happens anyone that is a citizen of another EU state will be entitled to live there. I kinda hope they don't for there own sake though. Once the EU gets hold of their fisheries it will damage a major part of their battered (pardon the pun) economy.

  • @Omegashadowyoshi I thought the same and this summer I go to Iceland.

  • @Omegashadowyoshi

    you must. it's magic:)

  • @Omegashadowyoshi

Make a To Do List, i have \o/

  • Thank you so much for uploading the dvd. I live in the Philippines and sadly they don't offer Heima at any branch. Thank you! Means a lot. I love this band so much; I have a metaphysical relationship with their music. :)

  • whats the song at 3:45 ?

  • Glosoli :D

  • It's called "Glósóli", one of my favorite songs by them. Enjoy :)

  • This may be up there as one of the best Music Documentaries ever made. Orgsgrym is right, buy the dvd, support this amazing band!

  • come her to watch videos in HD

  • People, buy it. Support this amazing Band, i really love Sigur...

  • @Orgsgrym

  • @Orgsgrym I have bought the discography and the double DVD... It is enough for you ? ^^

  • thank u so much for uploading!

  • something,

    something to do,

    something to breath

    something to listen

    the experiment of fusion

    the speed of light...

    soul vibrations...

iS FUCKING INTENSEEEEE, AND FUCKIN NOISEE THATS MAKE ME CRY.!!!

    only by Sigur Ros.

    great band.

  • thank you, "spaceufochild," for posting the whole video.

    thank you very, very much!.

  • what a beautifull landscapes!

  • Anyone who says there are no good bands around these days need to hear Sigur Ros. Infact I would go as far to say as they are the greatest band in the world right now.

  • Yeah, Sigur Ros is one great band... and Björk and Mars Volta make good music around these days. I'm happy, music has not died...

  • arcade fire, radiohead, wilco, explosions in the sky, iron & wine, beirut, the decemberists, animal collective, there's tons and tons of great music around now.

  • Nearly all of that is Post-Rock my friend.

  • I don't know archadia17, I personally could never classify Sigur Ros as a straight up post-rock band. It is true that they have post rock influences, but they just sound different. (I don't know if it's because of the language) Sigur Ros is just Sigur Ros, that's all I can say.

  • I totally agree,Sigur Ros are by far the greatest band around right now and they have held that title as long as ive been a fan and thats been years,i just love Sigur Ros,not a day goes by without me filling my soul with there music, amazing and beautiful music.

  • I agree- and they are never played on the radio- the powers that be want the masses to listen to shit clone girly boy band music

  • Yeah you're probably right about Sigur Ros being the best band. I don't like many bands, but I just can't help liking Sigur Ros.

  • @joheedandcambria I seriously couldn't agree with you more... everything they do represents beauty and love. Even Jonsi as a solo artist, or the Riceboy Sleeps album, they really do go through every emotion via music and I think it's pure genius.

  • @joheedandcambria @joheedandcambria I seriously couldn't agree with you more... everything they do represents beauty and love. Even Jonsi as a solo artist, or the Riceboy Sleeps album, they really do go through every emotion via music and I think it's pure genius.

  • @joheedandcambria I would have to agree with you 100%. I heard them 6 years ago and ever since them no band has changed my mind. They are true artists. The best.

  • @joheedandcambria I must say I was one of them, but then I discovered Sigur Rós who proved me so very, unbelievably wrong. It is music from the heart which leaves a mark. They are undescribable ad undefinable

  • BRAVO.Thanks for posting this! I have NOT paid attention to the Icelandic music scene for decades. EXCEPT for the old folksy Savanna Trioid albums, and then the classic 1970's work of the group Trubrot ( who I actually spent some 1970's leisure time with in when they were visiting friends in NYC). For decades I ignored it, yes including Bjork, although she is a fine actress.

BUT-I saw HEIMA last night on Sundance TV. The music set to a land I love so much just overwhelmed me emotionally.

  • Best documentary ever! Love it!:D

  • Beautifully ethereal. Straight from outer space.

  • thanks for the post, spaceufochild!:) just sorry that it cant be in one piece.. all these youtube regulations! although there were people who somehow went by it and posted vids even longer than an hour! well.. just have to wait for something that will come after youtube and will be even better..

  • This is copyright material, public domain stuff like can be an hour long. Its not rocket science.
