I'm a lifetime Magazine fan, and this new material should be embraced, and loved. I remember when 'Magic, Murder & The Weather' came out. Not many people took to it - 'No McGeoch? Crap!' etc. Just give it time. Barry had to quit as he's directing a movie, and John had an appointment with the Great Beautician In The Sky in 2004. Of course the new stuff will be different. But 'different' can often be good. And I think this is good.
@captainfutility1 No even though I wanted it to be really good it was a crushing disappointment. Perhaps I wanted to recapture my youth or something but its just not very good. All the limitations are there but without the brilliant lyrics, hooks, melodies and amazing bass. Sorry. Hope they stick around though! Perhaps they can work on something better.
Uhmmmmmmm what will Barry Adamson say about this 'rip off' Bass line from LIGHT POURS OUT..?
