  • How does one make almond paste? I checked the local supermarkets and the only one available was the one used in desserts and it was in form of a dough. I doubt that would be the one. Can someone explain pls?

  • You can make the paste by soaking the almonds in water, then boil them for 2-3 minutes, remove the skins and then grind.

  • Almond paste is used as thickening agent as well as to make the dish rich. Dry coconut will change the taste of the dish.Try and use the fresh one.
