  • You're awesome man! Great work!

  • andy you are a genius, by far the best skin softening technique I have tried, love how it keeps the texture in the skin.

  • great tutorial. I'm actually working on a freckled girl right now so this helped a lot.

  • This is just such a good way to soften skin.

  • It was the best PS tutorial! THank you very much!

  • Hi! Great vid. I have a question. Why don't you use the filters as they are Instead of using them inversed (gaussian blur and high pass). Isn't the result kind of the same? What made you edit that way? It's very interesting!!

  • PLEASE CHECK OUT MY VIDEO I MADE ABOUT SKIN RETOUCHING UNDER 5 MIN! IM A FASHION AND BEAUTY PHOTOGRAPHER, SO GET TIPS FROM SOME ONE WHOS IN THE INDUSTRY!

  • Awesome tutorial, Thank you! I see YouTube hasn't fixed that dislike button.

  • the dislike button seems to go off on it's own when you're a Canon shooter. It can't help itself.

    I'm just sayin'...

  • @NIKONGUY1960 Im a Canon shooter and I love! :D

Stop hating Nikon guy! Its just a brand war. In the end, we all love photography!

  • @richieramone1 Tongue in cheek. I just happen to prefer one over the other but both do very fine jobs.

  • I am working my way through the new Scott Kelby book covering professional retouching techniques. This tutorial is right on the money and really reinforces the methods presented. For me another great tutorial well done again

  • A "Freaky thing of nothing" I feel that way about reality TV.

  • Excellent Technique, I managed to use it with PSE7. Although PSE7 doesn't have "Smart Objects" it is still possible to do this. Thanks so much d^)

  • Super cool, thank you.

  • This was just great. Explained perfectly, and I love his easygoing style of expressing himself.

  • Brilliant, thank you for sharing.

  • Thanks Andy, your the best! Keep the videos coming.

  • Hi Andy.. love it mate.. since I have started photography I have some images that are driving me nuts that I took in class.. your video is helping but one model I have from class has zits oon her face in every picture... not much I can do in CS2 I dont think as I am trying to teach myself..

I will keep going through your video's and shoot over to the site, I love this (as I hated PS and never use/d it for my websites I make)

    Cheers mate

  • I'm a big fan of freckles too and LOVE this tut for saving them. SAVE THE FRECKLES.

Also appreciated the tap tap tapping of the healing brush as it keeps things slightly irregular and NATURAL looking. Awesome tutorial guys.

  • Great tutorial! I wonder if the person might have accidentilly hit the "dislike" button by mistake. I did that once, had a new faster mouse, and wanted to correct it, but didn't know how. Can you reverse a wrong choice on here? This is the third of your tutorials I've watched and have really enjoyed them. Thanks for doing them.

  • @photoguyphotography Maybe, but now there are 2 dislikes...I guess you can never please everybody!

  • @mikeyorange

    now it's 7 lol..

i wish i could multiple hit the 'like' button.

  • Great tip

  • Very good guide, but I think you need a better recording program.

The image quality isn't good enough to show the changes.

  • I wonder who dislikes this video, I think that if you hit the dislike button you should explain yourself! It can only help future videos!

  • Thanks !

  • I love FFFreckles :D

  • Great info thanks Andy.

  • Thanks for the video! Great tips, looking forward to the video with smart objects.

BTW Girls with freckles are incredibly cute!

  • Excellent thanks dude :)

  • Oh yeah gonna use this one immediately.......thanks Andy.

  • Excellent tip Andy !

  • Cool

  • Freckles!!

    Great job.

First time I've seen this method.

I too love freckles. I've seen models I've shot re-touched by others, totally obliterating the freckles.

can't wait to try this one on one of the models I shot with lots 'o freckles. I'll have to post to the forum showing the results.

    thanks again.

  • nice vid. very helpful!!
