You have to also take into account, no matter how slow you are going, there are roads out there, where even parked cars slide away. Lots of idiots out there, yes. no, they are pretty stupid. This happened in my town, Portland OR. I've been living here for 22 years, and 95% of the drivers in Portland can't drive for shit on dry pavement let alone snow or ice. I lost count how many times I've almost been in an accident because Portlanders don't pay attention. Lane changes without checking blind spots, using a turning lane as a passing lane. I've seen people reverse down the shoulder lane on a highway because they missed their exit
