Duane used a L.P. My favorite picker of all, always loved his playing. And damn to think of what the Dominos could've been if only things worked out better for them. This was truly an all-star band.

Great song! I had the original "Studio Jams" and Jam V got screwed up somehow at around 9:24. Musta happened when I moved. I now have the "20th Anniversary edition of Layla and other..." and have it again, but the Disc 2 and 3 aren't as good as "Studio Jams" imo.

Tom Dowd once described these two perfectly. While discussing Layla, he said the notes they were playing weren't in the instruments; the notes were in the tips of their fingers. Dowd saw 'em all, and I think that's about as high a praise as one can get. These boys deserve it; they are the best, and when together, they're the best there ever was.

Duane Allman did all that, added his jazz touch. Full version is available for $100 (I bought it in 2001) but you get all the original notes. How they recorded and how they split the tracks. If your trying to touch Duane Allman, good luck.

I had posted Jam 5 in two parts (seperated only because of Youtube's time limitations) awhile ago, as unstoppable3rd. Those videos were lost between a hard drive crash and my account being closed.

I will post the first part of this jam again soon!

No, Jam 5 is it's real title... and there are more jams on the Layla Expanded cd. Some include Duane and some are just Derek & The Dominos with Clapton alone. They are worth grabbing the disc all on their own!

Glad to have you back as a subscriber! I lost alot of friends when unstoppable3rd was stopped. Then my hard drive crashed and I lost over 400 videos... life really sucked! All these are new videos, totally made again from scratch and at a higer quality than before.
