  • I remember this because this was the first SB that Peyton Manning won(2007). When Peyton came to the letterman show few days after the SB 41. He said to dave that he saw the Oprah skit. The new skit with Leno in it-Peyton wouldn't be able to share with Dave because I don't hink Peyton is not invited to the Letterman show this time. He lost SB 44.

  • Oprah and David Letterman publicly said they didn't have a feud but David Letterman has made many jokes over the years about Oprah's weight. in 87 when baby jessica fell down the well he said well oprah's so big that will never happen to her.

  • she did not LET anyone get abused. the moment word was spread about the possible abuse charges, she did absolutely everything in her power to make sure it could not happen again and showed so much remorse for any hurt it may have caused. Maybe you should read more than just the headlines of news articles before you judge a situation

  • You are EXACTLY right tpuricelli. She did DO EVERYTHING SHE COULD. In fact, she privately flew to South Africa very soon after and many times after that and met individually with each student and their parents. For someone as busy as she is, I was very surprised she was able to do all of that, but she did. I commend her for that. Markster is the one who's racist and just hate Oprah and CHOOSES to trash Oprah besides the facts. Not worth debating with someone like that.

  • Yes yes yes you're totally right. I used to watch DL when he had an edge a million years ago but he's so totally corporate and lame now. Jay Leno is worse - just horrible, totally lame mean-spirited jokes. Can't wait till Conan gets the Tonight Show - he will rule!

  • Letterman and Oprah had a "bitter feud" for years.. in the end Dave begged her to reconcile in what he said would be a "super bowl of love". She ignored him for a very long time.. but eventually DID appear on his show and it was the 4th highest rating his program has gotten in 25 years on the air.

    This makes reference to all of that and hinges upon his being from Indianapolis and her being from Chicago..
