Erm well depends on what you mean. They all use the same engine "Source" but Portal is a game where you solve puzzles using portals and so on. Half Life "2" is linked in with Portal (story wise) and Gmod is a fan made modification created by a guy named "gary". it used to be free like all mods are but it got popular and Valve bought it up and sold it. The guys a millionaire now.

Ack! My good man, you MUST learn to use a PC better. You understand what a driver is? Do you know what your GFX card is? Find that out, go on their site and download the most up to date driver. If you don't then games will cause serious damage to your system because it's trying to use effects that are not supported by your driver.

no god mode is when ur invincible(u can't get hurt) and noclip is that u can fly with no gravity and walk through floors/walls

Noclip is when you can fly around and across wall.

Episode 1 takes place right after where Half Life 2 leaves off and Episode 2 follows. They're just continuations of the story, though I have yet to play Episode 1 and 2.

it's fun watching other people solve the problem with that plate in frotn of that combine ball holder (and other problems too). you just shoot it from that position, i do it on a totally different way. walk to it and stand above it and stuff ;) your videos can also act as a walkthrough :P
