Dude I use this at all my gigs and when you first started trying it out..Well. I nearly wet my pants.(just kidding) Blows you away. wow.. Awesome- One fellow Berklee to another..-John Russo
by the way, i love what you did coming out of that bridge with the "make we wanna spread my arms"... way better than the original version in my opinion. gives me chills every time.
i play every friday at a club and the guy who plays before me uses this digitech thing and he sounds like absolute shit. the dude can't sing a lick. he's always off-key but he's so stupid he doesn't recognize it. you do need an ear to use this thing properly.
Does this Digitech need to be plugged into a guitar at all? Can it work with just vocals and no intruments? I see you're doing it here , how does it work? (=
You're pretty smitten with yourself aren't you bud. If you really had a musical ear you would have listened to this mess before you published it. It's not the EQUIPMENT it's the OPERATOR.

CHOCALATE!... first rule of thumb when using a large diaphram condensor mike is ....use the POP FILTER ...some proffesional you are ...go back to music school dumbass!
@glenmann62 You know, people like you make me sick..the only thing you can do is find something WRONG with what this guy is doing. Instead you should be thanking him for being a great singer. Maybe you are so hateful because he is indeed better than you will ever be and that makes you jealous. You should check yourself before judging others....dumbass.
ooops! This was that kid on American Idol. ~ okay... Did'nt recognize him. But I remember AIMs once saying "I just voted for Will" Quality of voice double/good. Splash!
sorry to report for the Digi-Tech... your voice is too good for it. - you have to strain down to make it sound good. - sounds like a back up of caustic chipmunks. ~ don't do this again!
Hey, it's Wayne. I shot this video of Will. You're all correct, Will does have an amazing voice, and he was just playing with something he found in the studio that he thought was hilarious.
He did all kinds of songs that day, often we were laughing so hard he had to stop singing. We just decided to film this song, since it was his audition song for Berklee. (Without the digitech...) Thanks for watching!
Haha... I think it'd be a fun machine to have to play with!! And don't hate too much on Will. He went to my school. Kinda "too-cool-for-you" attitude sometimes, if you ask me, but nice enough.
Way back in 1894, a little girl named Madeline Crothe was skipping through the woods when a mysterious man in black snatched her. He brought her to his house, tourtered her, and starved her to death. Send this to 6 videos in the next 30 min. and you will be safe, but if you don't... at approximately 1: 34 tonight you will wake up to see an aneorexic child holding a bloodied up knife and she will kill you" less sorry this scares
soo stupid.. why would you even want this? Its not real.. but many artists aren't. Gavin DeGraw is true to just the music.. none of this.. but he's sure laugh if he'd see it.
seriously? none of you hear the blatant artifacts of the harmonizer? These things are cool toys for a party but useless unless you're going for that obviousness as an effect.
Easy big fella. I think a lot of those artifacts are from YouTube compression and/or recording artifacts. I have one and I don't hear nearly as many artifacts when I use it. Granted the harmonies don't sound as good as real backup singers, but if they are mixed properly, they can add a lot to a performance. Not every is playing Carnegie Hall you know.
Seriously, I love seeing people make real use of the Digitech Vocalist Live 4. I don't have one, but when I see it done to it's potential, I want to buy one. I sing harmony for my band, so I'm still gonna put it on hold for now. LOL! Great job!!!
Its all how you use it and this guy knows how to use it the way it shoul be.

I always loved Will's voice, even though he was super young when he was on AI. I hope his career is still going well in 2011!

@Whoaonthetrigger Yeah you can use it without guitar quite easily, but you have to know what key your singing in :)
(its usually the first note of the song your singing)

That, and he had the harmonies turned up too high. Mixing is an important part of this tool, or it's really easy to hear the digital artifacts.
