Yes I liked the UK entry too. I suppose I loved the French singer as she does not date as the others seem too. The melody is lovely and there are none of those weird Eurovision gestures, wooden hand movements and laughable facial contortions which now can seem so dated and embarrassing (I'm ignoring the backing singers).I like this song's understatedness but I admit that understatement is not the real point of Eurovision.
What a magical song. How could this not have won? Lovely lyrics. "Hello to you the artist, wherever you are...the brilliant illusionist..the painter of the light" The singer is so lovely, so natural, wonderful laugh. This belongs to a time when songs meant something, when one could celebrate art and music without being "ironic". Au revoir a toi l'artist..
Portugal that year deserved to win after so many unregretable years, where the only country to give us points were France. At least better then ding dong this fucking french melody
I totally agree, in a simlar style as "Eres tu" or "Un banc un arbre une rue" but only more lyrical. But "Ding a dong" wasn't an unworthy winner either.

@asposata Oui c'est vrai que vrai que les paroles sont un peu superficels, mais c'est une tres jolie chanson (pour un francophone anglais!).

Singing and the tune is fine, but jeebus those lyrics are infantile; I thought the French were deep.

Au lieu de dire « des paroles sans intérêt » tu devrais plutôt avouer que tu ne les comprends pas

Just decent, sorry but both UK and Italy
entries were far better than this "petit
jolie chanson" .

Wow, what a fantastic song I didnt know !
Her voice is pretty nice and make the atmosphere more quiet !
She should have won in 1975 !

One of the best songs in ESC ever. By the way, the Spanish commentator in this clip doesn't translate the title xactly.

I simply am in love with "Et bonjour..." it's my third-favorite Eurovision song of all time (only below "Io senza te" and "Khay") ...
