the thing is... Toon link is faster and lighter, AND his bombs and his sword is stronger then Links, but the boomerang is slower and does not draw the enemy to you like Links boomerang does, however it deals more damage , but his bow.... toon links bow is alot slower and deals less damage.

id prefer toon link, since his sword is stronger, unlike young links in melee, and because his bombs are stronger. And hes faster and lighter, if you use bow or boomerang alot, choose link

I actually preffer his boomerang cuz I can always do set ups in midair when the boomerang comes back by making enemies flinch while links would just move them. Also his arrows fire faster and have better range

This was actually a good match between these two. I'll be honest, maybe it wasn't as fast paced and crazy as other matches, but come on, as people have said, it hasn't even been out for that long; give them a break.

But... I do actually have an honest question.

Can anyone explain to me how Toon Link is different? I don't know if it's just me, but his moveset does and looks EXACTLY the same. I noted a few differences, but they're very small. He just seems like nothing but an exact clone of Link.

His neutral,back, and foward air are completely different moves. His up smash is also. His dair sends you strait down and can spike if hit well.He ends up doing more damage than link. I mean his foward smash can do like 23dmg because it always hits with both. he attacks/moves faster. He is lighter than link and has much shorter range. His boomerang is obviously different. I like him more cuz hes overal better

that isnt nesseserly true, it depends on your play style, if you use boomerang or arrows more, your character would be link,

and i have to tell you, Toon Link does not attack faster then link, link swings his sword alot faster and shoots arrows and throws the boomerang faster, but Toon Link himself moves alot faster and is harder to hit, hes also small and light, id prefer toon link, but ofc Link is for some players!

I agree in a way, whoever gave you the thumbs down well I brought it up. Brawl has no wavedashing and wavedashing just made melee look better. Most pros wouldn't like not wavedashing. Although the only thing is that Brawl is newer than melee so we can't really complain. Just have to live with it.

I've seen several vids with toon link doing his down-A in mid-air, and it looks like he can't move left or right after he starts it =/ at least he flies down pretty fast, and there doesn't seem to be too much downtime after. Now I just need to see what Twilight Link's version of that move is like . . .
