  • I'm high, you fig, I mean, dig oh fuck it

  • nice good the 60 s

  • the way the narrators talked in the 50s was just so phenomenal *___* xD always feels like watching an trailer o.O ^^

  • they were amazing talents - first got hooked on the Collins Kids when I heard "Whistlebait", which has to be the rockn'ist "hillbilly" song ever (check it out if you've never heard it - it really goes....

  • Collins Kids for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, now while both are alive!

  • @rhellman I second that.

  • just goes to show you only make it if the record owners like you this is entertainment and tallent why they not in the hall of fame

  • I've been playing guitar for almost 20 years now. This kid here makes me wanna smash my axe, quit for good and start to collect stamps instead. And by the way, this is the best version of this classic I've ever heard except for the one by the Cramps.

  • That's a lot of work for kid!

  • Check out the Double Neck Guitar

    Jimmy Page would be proud

  • Basically this is Big Joe Turner's "Shake, Rattle & Roll" (from the early 50s) with the "Shortnin' Bread" chorus grafted on. Good Rockabilly... but maybe a little too "racy" for a lot of tastes (in 50s America). Nice to see a fatherly old Tex Ritter... what a dude! ^..^

  • @ridovem Doesn’t sound anything like Big Joe Turner’s original SR&R, in my opinion, much more like Bill Haley’s cover.

  • Larry was more dynamic than Angus Young of AC/DC. Lorrie makes today's female pop stars look silly. She was sexy without being overt. The Collins Kids should have been way more famous than they were. I've loved them all my life and still do.

  • Watching a lot of their appearance on the various shows I noticed the older male hosts (like John Ritter’s dad here) cannot seem to keep from flirting with and pawing on teen Lorrie. Were the 50’s that lecherous?

  • It's kind of funny, back then the whole family would get together and play music, everyone could play an instrument and sing. Now it's all 'Guitar Hero'...how does that song go...oh yeah!: RED RED BLUE GREEN YELLOW YELLOW RED YELLOW GREEN...

  • Michael Jackson made millions doing the moonwalk and other assorted dancing--Larry has way better footwork and plays the double necked guitar while doing it. He should have made the millions. Is this world screwed up or what. Lorrie also should have been right up there with Patsy Cline with her voice and guitar playing

  • This is a great tune! :-D

  • is that the first double neck??

  • @FFarmerCharlie ... This Mosrite double neck was made by Semi Mosley for Larry. The original (1st) Mosrite doubleneck was made for Joe Maphis. Deke Dickerson also has one (w/3 pickups). Later Joe appeared with a revamped model (w/white pickguard) that you can see in the Nashville Hall Of Fame. Larry Collins still has a red one that he currently uses / Semi Mosely's company; Mosrite had a 6/12 version available (very heavy & off balance but sounded great)

  • that was surprisingly bad ass!

  • this rocksssss <3

  • I want the lyrics of this version!

  • ARN'T THEY GREAT!!!!!!?GOOOOOD!!!

  • i wish i could dance and play guitar like that...

  • @Dustpan04347 I wish I could dance *or* play guitar like that!

  • @Dustpan04347 at the same time!

  • "If you want my lovin' honey keep your oven hot..." guess Tex made Lorrie change the lyrics!!! Love dem' Collins Kids!!!

    Sizzlin' in TEXAS

  • Those kids can rock!

  • you bet they can!.....lol
