This is why after years of being natural, I am too scared to heat straighten. I have dense (a lot) but fine hair - it doesn't take much to straighten it.
Yeah, you'll likely have to cut the 2 inches - but so what it grows back, right
Hey Dee! I was watching a PrettyDimples01 (who is a stylist/hairdresser) video and she mentioned that warm, flat beer has been used to get your hair curly again. One of her clients went to a Dominican salon that flat-ironed their hair and she called the salon back and they told her to use beer and it worked. So maybe try that. I hope your curls pop back soon.
Damn girl, I am so sorry. Dont you wish you could sue? hmmm I wonder, stylists should really be held accountable for what they do to our hair. Good luck, I hope the DC works to bring back the curl.
oh Deanna , I am so sorry to hear about the heat damage. :( Now all you can do is let it grow out and wear twist/braidouts, until your next trim. I am really feeling bad for you. Sorry to hear about it.
That's why i will never ever go back to any hair salon unless it's mine because I have a hard time trusting people who are not honest about other peoples hair.I'm so mad for you!!!!!
What is so disturbing is the hair salon I went to, was the one I had gone to for 7 years. They know my hair and they help transition me. I don't know what the hell happened here!
Oh, I am so sorry to hear about the heat damage. I would just deep condition as much as possible. You might have to trim the straight ends. It seems like the salons use really high heat to make sure its straight. My hair on top is not as curly as the rest of my hair. If I was to get it straighten I don't think my top will go back to normal so I'm going to stay away from the heat. Keep us updated.
Thats why I hate heat, I dont use it at all even though I am relaxed. DOnt worry it'll be back to its natural state.
