@TJ1011000 However you are you're one sad individual taking pleasure in hoping a young a girl gets hurt or demoralised in someway. Katie is a 3 time world champion with over 200 fights, Carla has had 6 fights total and only 1 fight in recent years (primarily because no one weighs in against her), give her a break, who cares who wins or loses, she deserves ultimate respect just for fighting her at the stage of here career, NO ONE else would be capable of doing so or even dare to!!!!

you just dont get it do you. I wish the young girl every success in the world she works hard. Its you who are using her to promote you and your gym your riding on her coat tails the best thing she could do is join a club who cares about her. You say she has four fights then you say six. Then you say she should have respect for fighting her at this stage of her career who are you talking about? fighting who? You seem to be confused about her, or maybe not turly interested?

Young Lady you should have people round you that puts you first and what you want first. I wish you everything you dream of and seem to work very hard for. Not for what they get out it. I hope you progress to be a true champion in your own right.

@TJ1011000 Well at least your tune has changed towards Carla which is nice to see. However, I don't like the insinuation that either I or Gerard Mc Manus is trying "get something" out of Carla??  With all the natural ability that Carla has, which is a LOT, both myself and Gerard have done nothing but give of our time and expertise to vastly enhance her performance, and Carla will readily admit this. We have devoted our all to her and the other fighters, we get NO money for it, they aren't pro!

My son took me to Dublin a few weeks ago and she was fighting a girl from Bray with one fight. Carla was average her team mate preformed much better

I would hope you agree that I never set out to slag anyone who gives so much time and effort to achive what they want, and sacrifice any free time. I just hope she does not pay the price now for what I believe to be an honest error of judgment. Every Boxer and Coach out there now have her their sights on her pressure that no one needs. Well we will see if Sarah Close or Erin weigh in. Not sure if they are the same weight class.

For Carla to step into Senior and Elite level is a whole new world. One that I may add she does not belong in as she is Novice. Katie Taylor has nothing to prove I think you have done nothing but add pressure to Carla at a time when she needs guided carefully and responsilby (Not cheap Stunts) I have never seen her fight I have spoken to people who have and who have seen her train at her Boxing Club. I will say it again 100% right a Good Novice but now with pressure that was not needed.

@TJ1011000 I actually agree that there is now pressure on Carla that she doesn't need, believe me, this wasn't the intention, the intention was confidence and, to be honest we were just proud of the fact that she's got so much going for her considering her lack of experience. The job done so far in preparing her has been a good one and this video was just for fun, something to show how well she was coming on, more for her and us than anything else, nothing more.

@TJ1011000 However the video attracted a lot of attention which is something that no one can predict or control. Can Carla compete at senior level after only 7 fights?? Well. she shouldn't be able to no . . . but I firmly believe that she will regardless and do well at that, she certainly has the ability to, plus she has the Irish intermediates to go to first and will hopefully find an opponent in Dublin who's coach hasn't seen this video, she might get a fight before being forced to box Sr!!!

I think you show a total lack of respect for Female Boxing by not Knowing any names. As for her Coach showing respect by not doing the corner which I didnt know is again lack of respect for both his Boxer and her opponent. Two names I have been told about are Sarah Close and Erin Nugent? maybe she should start with them before taking on Katie? I would hope this is not a stunt to promote a Gym as your not a Boxing Club. Carla has Talent as a novice 100% right but remember its Novice.

Just pointing out what I see, maybe the fact that some one has taken a real look at this from a boxing point of view is what you dont like. I have been informed she fought a few weeks ago how did that go? why not have that on youtube? When you build some one up you have to expect them to take knocks.

@TJ1011000 I don't know the names of any female boxer TBH mate (again, sorry to the girls about that) but I do know this, in the Antrim novices a girl's corner pulled her out the night of the fight, same thing happened in the Antrim intermediates. You say you're talking from a boxing perspective, well everyone else who's seen this from that perspective are unanimous in their assessment: That they're never EVER, seen a man never mind a girl, after only 7 fights, display this kind of ability!!

@TJ1011000 You should have a word with your informer LOL! Carla had an exhibition recently with one of her team mates from the same gym. This was so informal that Gerard McManus (her coach, but I'm sure you already knew that ;-) didn't even do the corner out of respect for the fact that it was 2 club mates in an exhibition and not a real fight. Carla was operating on about 50%, because that's what you do when its club mates in an exhibition, you don't actually try to hurt each other.

Any one can look good on Pads/she keeps getting her feet all wrong/ all punches in Boxing should go forward not backwards first/ as for 16oz gloves give me a break every female boxer i know uses them/ for a novice with more walkovers than fights she is ok thats it. She is not the next katie Taylor and never will be to compare the two is an insult to Katie.

@TJ1011000 Looks like you set up a youtube account just to put Carla down, if you need it pointed out how sad that is then there may be no hope for you. Not anyone can look that good on the pads, especially a girl (no disrespect to female fighter) and especially someone with 7 fights. Her hand speed, power and strength are incredible and the fact that it still looks and feels that way in 16oz gloves is awesome considering she will fight in 10oz gloves (ouch)!!

@TJ1011000 She has more walkovers than fights because no one at her weight (or above in one instance) will fight her. Katie the undisputed most successful boxer in Ireland, maybe ever, but the comparisons are coming in from different sources whether we like it or not. The fact that Katie has had about 200 fights and is a 3 time world champion/4 time European champion and people looking at Carla after 7 fights and mentioning her in the same breath is evidence that she has a lot of potential.
