Hey there. This is the lead designer/programmer for Baseball Mogul. We don't include any explicit 'fatigue' gauge for pitchers, because those don't exist in real baseball. As already mentioned, for starting pitchers, once your pitch count gets above the pitcher's 'Endurance' rating, you should keep a close eye on their pitch speed and control.
That said, we do plan to add some more feedback about a pitcher's fatigue level in future versions.
@mogulsports Thanks for the reply. After playing many seasons in 1 pitch I am happy you don't have a 'fatigue' gauge. I got used to it. Still looking for my Mets 1st no hitter. Great game.
play it all the time... a few peeves about it...no pop fouls for outs, too many laser shits down the line get caught, too many freak injuries (cracked vertebra on an off day for a picture)...but its a great game
I'm having a great time with this game. It is very addicting though. How do you know when the pitchers are getting tired? I understand the whole endurance thing but will I get any game info if they are real tired. The game tells us when a regular posistion player is tired.
@theelusiveone within the game you have the pitchers endurance rating which represents their pitch count. for Instance if a pitcher has a 92 pitch rating, it usually means you can get him to 92 pitches safely. you can always go higher without causing to much strain. relievers usually have anywhere from 19 to 25 rating. Long relievers may have 35 to 47 (or somewhere in that range.) You can tell when they are tired when they start losing some velocity on their fast ball.
@waynemanchester1 OK thanks for the help. When I follow a pitchers velocity it seems to be different colors. When the speed is color green it looks like he is still strong and red seems like he is getting tired....what is it when it is blue? I can't find this info in the HELP manual. Thanks again.
@theelusiveone I'm not sure what the different colors on the pitches mean, they seem pretty random to me, they'll be red on one pitch then go to green etc. you might want to try a search on the forums. there might be some info on there.
@theelusiveone before starting a game the pitcher's player card will tell you how many days until fully rested. when the pitcher doesn't have this message, he's good to pitch on that day

@theelusiveoneThanks for the compliment on the post, I started a season in 1962, their first year and am now in 1970. I managed to win the World Series in '68, got to the playoffs in "69 but was swept by the Braves. Just wanted to give you fair warning: this game is addictive! :-)
@waynemanchester1 EXcellent. You won th World Series 1 year faster than the 69 mets. I'm just learning the game but I wan't to start a team with a full draft where the computer and myself have to start from scratch. I'm playing using Mogul 2010. Can you upgrade to a newer version without losing your past seasons?
@theelusiveone yeah, when you upgrade, what you are doing is installing a whole new game. for instance if you buyand install 2011 you will have both 2010 and 2011 in your computer. you can then go into the 2010 game folder and find the MOG file (which is your saved game) copy that mog file into the new 2011 game folder. when you open the 2011 game your saved season will now open. The Baseball mogul FORUMS are a great source of information for stuff like stadium pics, player pics, logos, etc.
I like Out of the Park Baseball alot better than Mogul myself, more features, better simulation engines, and can play from 1876 to the present i believe, however there is no video graphics but thats alright with me
can someone tell me why this game has the players and team names but not the logos? obviously they must have some deal with the MLBPA but not the official MLB license since the logos arent allowed, great game but would be 10x better with the logos and official support
In the game forums, there are several different links to modifying your game with different team logos, game skins, etc, some example of team logos available are, Gold Logos, Shiny logos and so on. for myself I chose the plain team logos! and for support you can get lot of answers on the forums at times the owner of the company does come to answer questions. I hope this helps. :-)
its not your typical console type play where you rely on eye-hand coordination. its a baseball simulation where you take control of your favorite team in any year from 1901-present. for example, you can start in 1964 and play through the present era with all real players! its a GREAT game. :-)
yeah Zambaku, you can make your own teams and even make friends and family as players with their photos and everything! the Baseball Mogul forums have all the instructions on how to customize your game to your needs. check out their website, sometimes they have free trials where you can download the game and play one season!
no Nesian, not like in a console game . This is a sim-type game, you designate what you want the players to do and the computer will simulate their real life skills. warning: It's a very addictive game! I've been playing this game since 2006! and it will not bore you like other games you buy and then get sick of.
On the Baseball Mogul Forum "mod" section they have sets of portraits by decades (from 1900s to the present!). you download them and extract them to your mogul folder in a certain order and they should work fine. the exact instructions are included in the forum. good luck and let me know how you make out.
You should get some modified PBP Stadiums man. Just go into the baseball mogul site forums. I posted a 1970's Shea Stadium PBP and catcher view, as well as a Jarry Parc. You load them into the News-PBP folder along with their parameter txt file and you'll be good to go.

Nice post. I'm playing this game for the first time right now. I'm a Met fan also. I'll probably use a team that had Dave Kingman on it.
