Last time I had a lucid dream, it was a nightmare about Freddy Krueger and I was like "Wait, he only shows up in dreams, I'm dreaming!!" Then my arm burst into flames and I woke up. o.O
hi, ive been lucid dreaming on & off and been able to remember most of my dreams almost everyday since i was a little girl.. this past year ive been having dream memories during the day(like normal memories caused by one of the 6 sense{6 being feeling) it feels kinda like deja vu. this never happened to me before... i barely know people who remember their dreams and just wanted to know if you share the experience & your thoughts..
Dunno if you're still reading these, but Jesus I hate sleep paralysis. I always see static-y demons and they scream at me. Don't think I ever had the "creature on your chesticles" feeling, but I still haven't gotten the knack of not waking up after going lucid. How do you do it?
@Aushin You just have to rationalize to yourself that it's not scary. It's probably to do with some weird ass frequencies that you're seeing those creepy freaks. One of the scariest bouts of waking up during sleep paralysis I've had, was dreaming about being in a restaurant, and the figure across from me kept changing form. It was all static like the ones you see. It said "Don't worry, I'm not real." And then I woke up, and for the split second that my eyes were still closed it said "Or am I?"
@redfluffykins Hahaha Jeeeeeesus that's creepy. My problem has started to become getting too excited when I realize I'm dreaming. I like...float OUT of the dream. It's weird. I can't keep myself in it. The scariness has gotten to be a bit less. I'm glad you made this video, keep it up!
I just watched every one of your videos and this was the last one. I love your clavicles. Let's get married. I'll come to wherever you are. I'll be your Ryan Gosling. Whatever you want. Seriously.
I was being chased by an ogre in Italy in a dream once and i reasied that i'd never been to italy so i took control of the dream and rode on his back. It was fun. =)
i've had that experience where i was in my bed and there was something on my chest, in my case it was a translucent green ghost revolving around, and i could not move my body. i always thought this was just a really freaky nightmare, but i think i may have woken up during sleep paralysis.
Also I have heard that if you just imagine yourself climbing an endless flight of stairs when your are trying to fall asleep that helps you relax more so you have more of a chance of lucid dreaming.
Do you take any pills that help lucid dreaming? I can lucid dream alot more when I take valerian root, kava kava, and 5HTP. Also if you break a malatonin pill in half that helps too.
@TheChocolateChicka Wiggle your fingers or try to roll really hard out of bed. Breathe irregularly through your diaphragm. That's how I wake myself up.
@DKlolYAY You enter sleep paralysis whether you are aware of it or not. If you are uncomfortable, the experience will not be pleasant. Get excited about it and do more research if you are scared. I have interactions with really creepy things in my lucid dreams, but I have gotten over the fear.
@MrStatcdy You were probably still bound by your physical body. Next time, try to remember hat you can imagine yourself hovering and moving fast instead of physically trying to move. You can also imagine yourself some new lighter limbs that work better.
@RinzuRozu That is very true. Also, taking a nap around 2-4pm if you're tired is soup for really vivid dreams if you keep your mind aware. I always feel like I'm falling down a tunnel.
@Gabekhp I read somewhere that the fear center of the brain is heightened during lucid dreaming. Breathing steadily helps. I sometimes get scared at first, because a lot of my dream characters are fucking hideous and some even dead. I realize I have all the control bough, and so I can inspect their faces and they don't move or try to attack. Sometimes I have to materialize my environment by hand, otherwise things will disappear and I'll start to wake up. Realize you have the control!
@EXPLOSIVEEGG Do you ever try to ask dream figures any questions? Mine won't answer. They just stare at me vaguely and keep talking about other things, almost like they can't break from a predetermined dialogue.
You got to love sleep paralysis... =\... every night... how ever your style of lucid dreams remind me of insidious. My style is when I become aware that i am dreaming and do all the crazy shit i cant in real life... Im not sure if the really is concidered a lucid dream though...
can you tell me how you manage to get into that lucid dreaming state...? I mean just because i lay on the side it dosn't make me lucid dream... make another video explaining this :)
Ok so I just heard about lucid dreaming tonight. But I tried going to sleep with the intention of having a lucid dream and I was really scared and I'm not exactly sure why. I just feel like something is going to go really wrong and I'm going to be traumatized by fears. Is this even worth worrying about? It's the strangest thing. What do you think?
May seem explicit to some, and this advice is mainly for females (sorry), but I found that not wearing a bra and also wearing a loose, thin clothing while attempting to lucid dream makes it a lot easier and much more comfortable. The less things clinging to your body as you fall into paralysis, the more loose and, well, lucid you'll feel. Hope this helps :)
I had the craziest lucid dream a few years ago and i can still remember every detail. I took pain pills bc I hurt my knee and I remember so physically exhausted in real life and in my dream but I didn't kno I was dreaming. In the dream I was in my friends car with my face pressed up against the window bc I was so exhausted u could feel the cold glass on my cheek, she parked at her house and I crawled up a dirt hill to get to her house it felt like the hardest thing I ever had to do in my life.
I'm feeling really hesitant to try lucid dreaming. From all I've heard about sleep paralysis, I just don't know if I want to scare myself that bad hahah.
@TheChocolateChicka Try it! Sometimes I wake up if I try to explore too much. It's really sensitive with me. I have to be careful about what kind of questions I ask creatures and people. If you suddenly ask someone a question while you're awake inside a dream, they might just stare at you and not know what to say because they're part of your subconscious. You might have to come up with their response otherwise they won't answer you. lol
@TheChocolateChicka Usually it's pretty easy for me to wake up. But if it feels like you're stuck, imagine yourself rolling out of bed really fast. You won't actually fall or roll, but it will feel like a jolt that wakes you up. :) I hope that helps.
Lucid dreaming is the best shit ever, i'll let all the idiots play videogames and worst of all watch T.V. I know that feeling you're talking about, it is really weird to feel dual bodies but there's no reason why it should be, its an awesome feeling that people should be getting used to. when i lucid dream i am in my own YOUniverse living out all my fantasies, everything i was programmed to think was "impossible", when you learn the skill of lucid dreaming you unlock another 2% of your brain
@DougieFresh219 i have played tons of videogames but try to stay away from movies because of the rampant propaganda and subliminal messages. so i already have plenty of material to work with. and even if i hadn't played a single videogame my imagination and shared reality life is good enough inspiration...
I'm really amazed by lucid dreaming. I have only had one though but I've tried a lot. The one I had is the only dream I've fly'd in ever. Will continue trying till I can do it when ever I want! (:
sleep paralysis.. I got a creepy shadow-person sitting in the corner of the room JUST STARING AT ME. agh. Horrifying. Btw, if you ever feel you're waking up, you can spin yourself around in the dream and it will keep you in it. I read some stuff on that a while back. it works. you can dream-test too. there's a couple different ways. my favorite is to look at a clock or read a sentence in a book, look away, then look back. It will be TOTALLY DIFFERENT! false wake-ups plague me of late
@NATESOR Yup, I addressed the spinning thing in a comment down below somewhere. It's an awesome technique. I've never tried the look away/look back technique. And the book thing sounds interesting. And instead of paintings on the walls, there are usually pages of books inside frames in my dreams. Or news paper articles! It's always fun to read them. But I never end up remembering what they say even if I'm lucid.
I get sleep paralysis every night. Usually when I lay on my back. I get the feeling that someone is trying to get into my room through my doors and windoes. Be it burglers, aliens, and other multi-dimensional beings that try to talk to me through radio frequencies I can pick up with the technology they implanted into me after they have taken my body aboard their ship and gave me the feeling that I am just not able to move in bed while they perform the surgery. I hope I never wake up on theirship
I've never had a lucid dream, but it sounds to funnnn. I've tried to lay on my back and just let my body fall asleep while kind of trying to keep my mind awake, but I always end up falling asleep anyway. Once I was completely still for a long time, and suddenly I felt this weight on my chest. It was really weird. After what I've read, that's supposed to happen (?) but I freaked out and woke up. I dream a lot otherwise, though. Lots of nightmares. e___e
@xHeartContainer Well, do that again but try your best to not freak out. Think of it as a unique experience. If you can do it without freaking out, you will go on to have awesome lucid dreams. :3
@onimoucha91 The Science of Sleep is a much better movie about dreams that doesn't rely on millions of wasted dollars on some "cool" effects. Give it a watch sometime.
I used to lucid dream more when I was younger. Now the only thing that works for me is to start imaging stuff and fall asleep while doing that. Even tho there's only one thing I do every time I lucid dream.... and that's flying! Have you flied while lucid dreaming @redfluffykins?
@ulisezzz I haven't had flying dreams so much lately. If I have, it's usually when I lucid dream and I get to fly through stars and stuff. It's super fun. :D
I don't really remember dreams in the morning but i do remember that sometimes dreams recur and i used to get really vivid nightmares where either someone i know and i would be trapped in a fire or a man followed me down a never ending street, speeding up and eventually chasing me. I would wake up crying like almost every night until i was like 11. I was 7 when the nightmares began. :)
In the past couple months I've had two dreams which i've had dreams within those dreams. One of them, I actually had different phone conversations with 4 real friends.
@TimmBoy Whaaat? My dreams are so advanced that I have recurring neighborhoods and houses in my dreams that don't exist in my physical life. It's crazy. A lot of exploring has been done via lucid dreaming. Imagine living in a world where you can do whatever you want, and create whatever you want. It's just a matter of practice because you can accidentally wake yourself from shifting too many things... Kinda like the Inception movie. hahaha
@redfluffykins o_o Really??? I am actually jealous now... That sounds really really cool!!
"you can accidentally wake yourself from shifting too many things" really sounds like Inception xD
The only reoccurring dream I remember having I got like... 5 years apart from each other.
The first time was in like... 1st grade, and I had a dream about Sauron or something and there was a vast ice landscape with fire as well. And then like 5 years later, I had the exact same dream. Really freaky.
I've had the feeling where something is pushing on your chest, at first, it was so scary, cause it was like someone was sitting on you, then trying to choke you. And I couldn't move or do anything. Now, when that happens, I realize I'm pretty much okay, and try to transition into a dream... I've been able to do it once really well, and a couple times not as well.
Also, in sleep paralysis, for me it feels like my teeth are clenched really really tight.
I don't lucid dream too much (my dreams usually take their own path, though I can feel anything that happens to me very vividly) but I do get bad cases of hypnogogia (sleep paralysis) frequently. Unlike what you feel about the thing on top of you that doesn't let you inhale, I don't feel anything and i'm fully aware of my surroundings. It's like a limbo in which you're awake and asleep, but your breathing action isn't working, like you forgot how to breathe, until you force yourself to "wake up"
@LukeVader77 That has happened to me a few times when I have tried to go into lucid dreaming from sleep paralysis. I have experienced the same, getting stuck in that state and not being able to breathe at all or feel anything. That's when I think about rolling really fast out of bed, so that it's like a jolt that wakes me up. Sometimes it takes longer to wake up, which can be scary. Other times I have realized that I WAS in fact able to breathe, but only by extending my stomach.
@LukeVader77 That's part of it too. Calm the fuck downnnn!!! lulz. You're not likely to die. I usually talk to myself inside my head to calm myself down, and kind of ask parts of my body to move, like my stomach and then I try to breathe. While staying calm, if that doesn't work in 30 seconds then I wake myself up. Because if you panic, it will actually get worse. Also if you just want to fall into a deep sleep instead of waking up or lucid dreaming, imagine yourself spinning.
@redfluffykins Ha! I know right, when panic and reason go at it, panic usually wins and takes over. But yeah, the worse that can happen is just falling asleep again (or passing out) depending on what your body's "emergency" response is, but it's so hard to remember that XD. Either way, at least I know i'm not alone now ;D
i would totally be like playing hardmode Call of Duty in my dream as a soldier!

@redfluffykins Ah, I haven't thought of that. I'll try to do that stomach thing next time, if I don't panic haha :D
