Thanks for the tip. I didn't realize that I going through 3g would be so different than wifi. O try to test that case by seeing if i cant route it through wifi to the phone to see if it is indeed a 3g complication!.
I followed your steps and it setups up just fine for the tablet...but i used the sames steps to duplicate on the htc hero and it can't find the tversity website even though it works on the tablet? any ideas?
@battalionofone It's possible that you're having networking issues with your router. If your tablet's connecting through wifi, it may not have issues because it can find your computer very easily. If your phone's connecting through 3G on the other hand, there can be a number of complications. You may need to change port settings, and obtain a dynamic IP address that always points to whatever computer you're using as a server.
This is a terrible way to stream media to android devices!!! Check out my video to see the best way!

It's easier to access video files externally, Tversity supports transcoding, and It makes my media accessible on other PCs through a web interface.
