Do you know if King Tubby used one of these, back in the day? sounds like it. That kind of manipulation must dirty-up the tape and heads pretty quick with oils from the finger. Cool effects though.
I dont know if its still true, or how sought after they are now, but there used to be a whole shelf of these going for NO money at the Record and Tape Exchange, music dept in Notting Hill about 10 years ago, I used to have one abot 20 years ago... WHY DO I EVER SELL STUFF!!
