2)We can't revert global warming by reducing gas emissions, same as dinosaurs could not revert Ice Age by keeping their freedges closed. It's just the way our biosystem keeps the balance. Think pendulum: global icing - global warming. And so on. Once one event passes it's culmination, the forces of opposite nature begin to accumulate.I'me sure physic scientist can explain it better.

Well, take a look at some of the largest populations in the world. For example, China has had the Planned Birth/One Child policy in effect for a while. The largest impact I can see PO having is on transportation. We had the technology to run efficient electric cars that would be more than sufficient for the use of the majority of consumers (Who Killed the Electric Car?), and these electric cars do not necessary have to be powered by burning fossil fuels.

The Chinese Ambassador to canada was interviewed the other day and that's the number he gave. As for nuke plants it's a simple calculation, take all the fuel's energy in Joules and divide that by the output of a reactor and you get how many reactors are needed. It's near 2000 for the US.

As I have pointed out many time before, there is no evidence that AGW will be globally bad to begin with. We are geologically in a CO2 low its been 3-4X more in the past. Higher temps also in the past, including recent past, and life did just fine. So act to change what anyway? We may need warmer times to survive. Yes 500 limit sucks.
