With all due respect to canefreak2001, I wasn't happy that this was the Orange Bowl matchup- not because I didn't like Miami, but because it was a rematch and that they were gonna be in the ACC a year earlier.

They could have sent Kansas State or Ohio State to this game and put FSU in the Fiesta Bowl instead.

I'm a USC Trojan diehard but I will say this; I enjoyed when Miami,FL was on top of the College Football because it made the sport competitive and exciting.

I've been watching College Football along with the NFL for almost 30 years and I will say this: The U has had the most NFL talent since the early '80s until now that I've seen until now. The SEC has totally copied The U's style recruiting fast and athletic student athletes. The U has set the trend for college football.

People forget the CANES dominated for 5 yrs straight from 2000-2005. we came up short on titles but that was coaching. Wack ass fuck up ass coaching!!!! Cause the talent and foundation was there. No way we dont win atleast 2 or 3 out 5 titles during this scretch. We had instant NFL mix happening back then. I blame the Wack ass coaches!!! they couldnt coach a player out of a paper bag good they all got fired!!!! the talent we had then was the best in college football. look at who we beat then!!!

OK.....it would be nice to see Miami win the ACC for once....how about make it into the ACC championship game for once?? @peterbuiltlong If my recollection is right....the last time Florida played Miami ended up 26-3 Gators. Maybe you have forgot the Gators beat Miami 7 years in a row....from 1971 thru 1977. Florida also beat Miami in 82, 83, and 85. IF you are happy the Canes beat FSU for 5 years....then I guess I'm happy Florida beat Miami 7 straight years. lol.

Especially when the Canes are irrelevant in the college football world. I like UM scheduling Bethune Cookman, that is who they need to schedule OOC. @01CanesrdGOAT Trying to figure out how Florida ran from the Canes ever! lol. So after Florida beats Miami from 1971 thru 1977 and 82, 83, 85 they stop scheduling them after the 1987 season due to the SEC adding 8 conference games. How did they run from UM? Miami was independents and scheduling East CArolina, Cincinatti, and San Jose State. YES they needed Florida on the schedule. That was over 20 years ago buddy...get over it, lol. Try winning 10 games or a bowl victory, lol.

Wide Right 4. Great game. Jarrett Payton was our unsung hero that year. This made it 5 in a row vs FSU. Then next yr 6 in a row with Hester's block :)

Can't argue with this though..Berlin had heart. He had some good comebacks. And oh yeah he went 5-0 against FSU and UF...and both his bowl wins were against rivals (Orange against FSU, Peach against UF).
