I like both Van Morrison and Counting Crows, so this was fun for me hearing their interpretation of a great song. It's not Van Morrison, but nobody clicks on a Counting Crows video expecting to hear Van Morrison right? It's Adam kicking it in Adam's style which is cool with me. Thanks for uploading this!

Nothing beats Van the man. Respectable cover, but he should not have tried to sing it like Van does. I like Counting Crows, but he doesn't have the range of voice Van does...shoulda done something more suited to his voice.

@HennessyMUES06 Must you be such an anal-retentive purist all the time?? Most of the crowd had never heard that song before, for the crime of being born too late. Of COURSE no one can do it like "The Man". But you must allow one the opportunity for interpretation!! Sometimes things turn out quite nicely. Ever heard SR-71 do "In Your Eyes"? I had just seen Peter do it live with his New Blood Orchestra and it was nice. I like this snappy version! I hope it it catches on with the kids. Positive!!

I like CCs pretty well and like the vocalist....but not so much for this tune.

I agree with others who say refer to LAst Waltz for the killer performance of this tune....at least Van wise........there have been better bands playing behind him on the tune, but Van's perf of Caravan in Lst Wlzt is unreal.

so the fact that they've been playing this consistently makes it a good version? i don't understand that. anyway, to qualify my opinion in the CC favoour, i will say that the sound quality really sucked and an acoustic version played by them in my living room would probably be quite moving. but still, let's stick with van, especially the old 70's van- when he could still sing.
