  • FUCK YES WARREN MOON

  • He runs his routes like a robot

  • @firerustdragon

He also has the speed of one.

  • @Varangian1915

And did you go to church that following Sunday?

  • @VanillaLimeCoke No, I didn't. And that's why they lost in the playoffs, or something like that.

  • I remember this game I was thinking when Kevin Butler was going up for the kick before Cris Carter made the catch I was saying were done something like that but the vikes got lucky and won in overtime 33-27

  • I remember this game very well- december 1, 1994, a thursday night. The bears would have moved into first place if butler made that field goal. I remember saying "I'm going to church on sunday if the VIkes can pull this out somehow.".

  • its like the guy frm DA BEARS!! gt tripped by a ghost

  • Best receiver the Vikings have ever had. Get him into the Hall of Fame.

  • Thanks for posting video !!!

  • Cris Carter was like Jerry Rice in the sense that, he wasn't that fast, but no one ever ran him down... It's a disgrace he's not in the Hall yet...

  • @mesmursur

No, not quite. He would get caught from behind plenty of times. I hear what your saying about the Jerry Rice football speed, but in the case of Carter , noway. NO excuse here, the man WAS truck slow !!

  • This video just goes to show how much better football was in the 90s. Look at the expressions and body language of the Bears players after Carter scores and they realize they just lost. It goes to show how much more passionate players were about winning back then. In today's NFL, they most players would just briefly congratulate the opposing team then trot back to their locker room with a blank expression on their face. Football was so much better back then.

  • they should just move the qweens to la.

  • @staindwt20 maybe you should move since you can't even spell queen right, dumbass

  • Good times......God, can you please let the Vikings win the Superbowl once? Please.

  • @denzellskater If he's trying he's firing the ju-ju down from on high and keeps missing slightly to the right.....

  • @denzellskater 1998 should have been their year. They were the best in the NFL that year and couldn't get it done in the playoffs.

  • was that Warren Moon??

  • @Dev17cmd yes

  • those were the days

  • watching this as a kid made me sad. Bears got the last laugh when they beat the vikings the following month 35-18 in the wildcard round

  • @ishotu747 i know

  • hey look a touchdown pass not thrown by brett favre

  • Never liked this guy. A huge disruption to the team, never the leader he always claimed or hoped to be.

  • Vikings should have been perfect in 1998 an won the Super Bowl! Damn Bucs and Falcons!!!

  • look at the end, carter has eyes on the back of his head LOL

  • what year was this?

  • @100spurs, 1995.

  • @100spurs

    1994

  • holy shit man, this guy was a human vacuum cleaner.

  • I long for the days of CC...had some good teams.

  • he wasnt on the top 100 players in the nfl but randymoss was! that is some bull shit

  • This was voted by Joe Theismann as the best game he broadcasted in his first 10 years at ESPN. Thursday night game...GREAT game...even as a Bears fan.

  • One of my all-time fav's. I was there that night!

  • hang out with Chris

  • hey chris you didn't hand the ball to the refer you drpped between your knees not td .. your own words .. osu sucks ...

  • They are who we thought they were! And we let 'em off the hook!

  • I wish someone would put a jockstrap in Joe Theismann's mouth, he stinks as a commentator...Gee Joe? Ya THink?

  • and the bears still are who he thought they were

  • warren moon hall of famer

  • The only thing that could make this better is if Ditka was watching, and whining about the Dome.

  • that was awesome!!!!!

  • cool vid, but what happened in the playoffs that year?

    =P

  • @SB20Champions lol, good memory. Unfortunately the Bears got their revenge in the playoffs. ;)

  • @NodakPaul not like the ebars got anywhere in 1994 anyway.

  • @halodystroyer44 bears*

  • Cris Carter. All he does is catch touchdowns.

  • @mjwatts1983 absolute ly right carter sucks randy moss is one of the best better than carter

  • @astristar thinka about it tho homie carter taught randy sum few things or tew i know moss is better but dont say cris carter sucks now cmon

  • cris carter was probably one of the best to put on a vikings uniform

  • Damn he is indeed slow. Damn he is good but slow as anything

  • randy moss was damn lucky to have a teacher like him.

  • @halodystroyer44 randy moss doesnt need a mentor to be good his better than carter when he came to the vikings

  • @astristar he still mentored him rather or not he needed it

  • @halodystroyer44 randy moss doesnt need carter to mentor him because on moss side he knows his better than carter

  • @astristar dumbfuck, when randy moss came into the league dennis green had carter mentor and moniter moss in training camp when the vikings drafted him to know if he would work hard or if he was going to quit. and all throghout the 98' season you could see carter giving advice to him.

  • @astristar or do you even know randy moss was drafted by the vikings?

  • @halodystroyer44 oh really''''''''''''''''''''''ahahaha thats why im saying that randy moss is better than carter in my opinion randy moss doesnt need a mentor to be good his better than carter

  • @astristar Not better, just different.

  • @halodystroyer44 randy moss doesnt need a mentor to be good his better than carter when he came to the vikings

  • @astristar plus im sure it didn't hurt him paying along side carter

  • damn i cant believe i remember this game, thats uber old

  • what the fuck? he was one of the first eliminated from the hall of fame finalists

  • @halodystroyer44

Lived in MN for many years ( through out Carters career ) he just wasn't a very popular player. With the press or fans. Maybe accross the nation too?

  • well i live in wisconsin, doubt that counts as across the nation though but a few of them think he was pretty good here even a few of my packer fan friends (though of course the majority don't, lol)

  • also, he needs to be in the hall of fame already.

  • @grizzlyadams53 What ever happened to Grizzly Adams?lmao What about old number 7?

  • Why in the world did the Bears have a LB on Carter? I've never seen Carter play but even I know that was a dumb move.

  • And if you've seen him play before, you'd know that was a REALLY dumb move.

  • Comment removed

  • Yep. Too bad the HOF voters keep screwing him. He'll get in one day...

  • @Ginga

I'll tell you whay he's not in. He just that a likable of an individual. I lived in MN through out his career, he just was'nt all that polpular there . One can assume he's not too popular with the HOF voters either. Like it or not, to get into the HOF you MUST factor in the human element.

  • @6400az

That's not surprising to hear. He annoys me on NFL Live and I can easily believe he was unlikable, even amongst fans of his own team.

Still, as cocky as he is, he was phenomenal on the field and deserves to go into the Hall.

  • @Ginga

Sorry about the typing, I meant , he's not that likeable of an individual. Your probably right about the HOF, as his stats. speak for him. Then again, look how long it took Art Monk or Charlie Sanders to get in. Truthfully, I don't expect him to get in anytime soon. He was something beyond cocky, what ever it was it just did'nt sell.

  • @6400az

Yep. It definitely took a long time for Art to get in. It's going to get even tougher for Carter with all the great 90s players that have recently retired and are becoming eligible.

  • @Ginga

Let's keep an eye out and see what happens. Do you know if he's been in the running at all? I seriously get the feeling it may take him a while. Assuming he gets in.

  • @6400az

I don't. I've heard he's been campaigning for other guys to get in.

  • @Ginga Agree. He is definitely a Hall of Famer!

  • @Ginga

The reason the Bears had a LB on Carter, is because of Carters speed. Lets not forget Carter was anything BUT a speed deamon. He almost got caught from behind here.

  • I know he wasn't a blazer but it still doesn't make sense to put a LB on one of the best to ever play the game.

  • @Ginga

Yes, your probably right about the linebacker coverage part. I know his stats are pretty impressive, but there have been many Cris Carters' along the NFL's long history.

  • All-time favorite player =3

  • we'll have a few more purple vids like this available after sunday.

  • we the vikings just topple all!!!!!!

  • I wish that were true. Say that to the Falcons, Saints, Dolphins, Steelers, Raiders, and oh yeah, the Chiefs.

  • this reminds me of the 39-yarder from cutler to aromashodu that just beat the vikings tonight.

  • lol

  • LOL. Ow, that hurts. L:)

  • Who the bears have in the playoffs? DOH! 36-10.

  • and do you know what that play reminds me of? When the Vikings destroyed the bears 36-10. The Bears didn't even make it to the playoffs. Sorry. Maybe next year.

  • i really hope the vikings win the super bowl for 2 reasons:

    1. favre might actually retire.

    2. and the bears can say they beat the super bowl champs in week 16.

  • haha

  • Lol the bears are so bad!

  • @THEoriginalRIcHARDS that reminds me of who went to the playoffs this year and who didn't

  • @jointhedomination this year will be different from last.

  • Carter is one of the best of all time. Crack is the best also. Lol

  • but didnt the bears beat the vikes in the playoffs later that year at the dome

  • Yep.

  • Wannstedt on the sideline looking clueless. That's a shocker.

  • I think 1994 bears kick tha vikings ass n tha playoffs ha ha

  • so back then loser so shut your mouth

  • what year is this? and go warren moon!

  • Im no Vikings fan, but I wish they won the 98 superbowl

  • I bleed purple. I have my whole life. And when they lost to Atlanta in the NFC championship game in 98 I died a little inside lol

  • though a bears fan, i did want them to win that game, they would have routed the broncos in the superbowl, arguably the best offense of all time that year

  • u do know this is from 1994, right?

  • @musicphreek446 same here brian billick through that game for the offense with his new contract in baltimore

  • @kevindagame I'm a Bears fan and I agree

  • @kevindagame They were the best team in 98 hands down.

  • @kevindagame I wish Scott Norwood didn't miss it wide right. Maybe Andre Reed would be in the hall of fame.

  • @losangelescardinals LOL, dude he'll still make the HOF, Bruce Smith was on the same team and he made it to the HOF

  • @kevindagame Thats different. There's not getting around, MOST SACKS EVER with 200.0

  • the bears still suck go pack go

  • omg see that THROW!!!

  • I was at this game with my buddy who is a die-hard Bears fan. He was stunned to say the least. What a great game to be at though.

  • I guess you have to snort coke and have inappropriate relations with prostitutes like Michael Irvin to get into the HOF.

  • Comment removed

  • Carter did have a coke problem early in his career; prostitutes not so much, if he was a couple years younger he could have caught the Love Boat lol

  • Cris Carter snorted coke, in fact i think he smoked crack, too. He still deserves the Hall of Fame but he was no angel.

  • Comment removed

  • crack is baking soda mixed with coke and you cook it to get the impure stuff out...thats why its soooooo addicting crack is more pure and the delivery method of smoking it tricks ur brain into thinking it needs it....my ex's sister was a crack head

  • that was way early in his career

  • like u cant get any better than this dude rite here man..

  • Cris Carter is one of the top 5 recievers of all time. He made everything out of nothing. He didn't have speed and he didn't have height. He had amazing hands of course but he was better than 99% of recievers, and didn't have the genes.

  • man he maybe is like a top 2 WR..

  • Comment removed

  • @dlhouse18 better than timbrown and jerry rice tandem come on know your facts dude they are both old when they came to raiders and make it to the superbowl

  • @dlhouse18 Yea i think a lot of people forget about Cris Carter and Marvin Harrison

  • @dlhouse18 I like Randy Moss and all but I think the two things that go against is #1, Best know for running pretty much one route (Straight up). When's the last time anyone has seen him score a long TD by running a slant (Probably Never). #2 Play along side Cris Carter. This reason is very hard to understand right away. If you have a option to cover either one of the best WR ever or some rookie, instincts tell you to cover Carter. But I dothinkthatMossistop5butalotofhisnumberscomefromjumpballs.

  • i doubt we would have had Berrian if we still had Moss. whole reason for getting Berrian was to get a #1 receiver. with Moss we had all we needed.

  • cris carter work at my school st .thomas high best high school football team eva

  • Imagine cris carter, randy moss and Adrian peterson that would be sick

  • You left out Anderson the kicker.

  • lol Cris Carter is a little old don't ya think?

I do wish they never would have traded Moss though

then they would have Moss, Berrian, Harvin, and Peterson

  • which would be awesome and awesome plays

  • if you wouldnt have traded moss you most likely wouldnt have perterson, but that would be some team

  • we had cris carter, randy moss, and robert smith...THAT WAS A SICK TEAM

  • Better look out NFL in 3 or 4 years. Cris Carters son Duron is said to be exactly like his dad (yes even the same speed "problem"). Hes going into his freshman year at Ohio State and he was just voted as the best WR at the high school All American game.

  • I was at this game with my dad. When Carter broke away to the end zone, it was the loudest I've ever heard the Dome get in my life.

  • cris carter looks like a fraggalrock.

  • amazing

  • cris carter is the man

  • became a vikings fan all because of this guy. mr. consistency is all i can say about him.

  • i was at this game and in the endzone. what a thrill.

  • the four norsemen: jake reed, cris carter, randy moss and randall cunningham. the 98 vikings are the best viking team next to the 69 vikings. skol vikes!

  • What year was this? Dave was the Bears coach and Moon was QB? Just b4 BJ came in?

  • 1994

  • we got adrian peterson. nuff said. and carter wasnt exactly hall of fame, he just had a nack for CLUTCH catches, he ALWAYS stayed in bounds which is why i loved him.

  • R U kidding? Not HOF worthy...his hold records, and he was the absolute master of the sideline, tiptoe catch...C'mon, Golden, how older are you did you watch Carter play?

  • excuse me Cris Carter not a HOF???

R u kiddin me when he retired he was Number 2 nd still is in Receptions all time, 2nd in recieving tuchdowns (currently 5th) nd 3rd in recieving yards nd ur tellin me he is not a Hall of Famer? get a life dude

  • yeah hes wrong, but how is being wrong mean you dont have a life?

  • Comment removed

  • Exactly again why is Cris Carter not in the Hall of Fame? Everybody knows Jerry Rice is the greatest receiver in the history of mankind, but you could make a case of Carter being #2, and I'm a huge Bears fan.

  • what year is this?

  • Uh, if that is the 75th anniversary logo at midfield, I'd say its 1994-95. Oh well, who cares if they swept in the regular season, Bears beat them in the playoffs haha!

  • Love you cris carter u were the best man. VIKINGS WERE UNSTOPPABLE WITH YOU RANDY MOSS AND DAUNTE

  • No, that is not true.

They did have the talent no question. But it was in large part because of those three malcontents that the Vikings did'nt win more. Culppeper consistently turmed tha ball over AND at the worst possible time.

Carters shamless hotdogging coupled with him being the self proffesed "team leader"= the wasted opportunity the Vikings had in those years.

  • Daunte is a failed wanna be. notice he doesn't play anymore :)

  • Actually, I believe he is the starting QB in Detroit this year.

  • He was in and out as the starter. He was only good when he had 2 hall of fame receivers in my opinion

  • i miss those days but culpepper did have a problem with fumbling it while trying to throw. just imagine if we had adrian peterson back then :O. oh well, now we have decent recievers, shitty QB, and the best RB

  • They were unstoppable with CUNNINGHAM RANDY MOSS AND CRIS CARTER not Daunte.

  • Crank up your speakers at 0:19 seconds. The Metrodome crowd goes batshat insane! This was my first Vikings game and I remember that catch like it was yesterday. Skol Vikings!

  • Big play guys make big plays...

  • It's bullshit that he is not in the HOF.

  • true, but all in good time

  • Dude relax he'll be in the hall of fame. 2nd statistically greatest receiver ever behind the great Jerry Rice.

  • Warren Moon was a sick QB!

  • That he was. If you take all of his professional stats (including the CFL), he threw for over 70,000 yards and 435 TDs. Undoubtedly the best Super Bowl era QB to never play in a Super Bowl.

  • Looking at all the other Vikings glory years videos and then clicking here to see Cris Carter. Wow, how things changed.

He did make plays, but I ever liked this guy, nor all the other hot dog receivers. Carter wanted to be the leader and of course the media bought into it. He was was "mentoring" Randy Moss...HA!!

Yeah he was a leader alright, the leader of his own bandwagon. Now there, he excelled as leader.

  • i love those jerseys.. best play. but not as good as bernard berrian and gus ferrotte. :) :):):):):):):):):)

    GO VIKES

  • DVR ! (:

  • players that i miss the most

lol he is definatle my number 3

  • holy shit.

  • HAHAHAHA! Fuck the bears! I love this! I miss Cris Carter so much!

  • I miss Dennis.

  • What a beast!
