@5650170 i do get an emial even though you removed your comment - just to clarify, I was supporting the idea that people should get out of the way by just about whatever means nessecary. Also, this is a paramedic car operated by Dublin Fire Brigade, not a Fire Station Officer car etc etc.
dublins the worst place for not letting emergency services past, even on the n11 and m50, Ive seen so many stubborn fuckers not bother moving for ages
@mr556073 Emergency vehicles should NOT force people to cross a red traffic signal. As hard as it might be, you must wait until it is green before moving. In the UK you CAN and WILL be prosecuted for crossing a red light, even if forced to by an ambulance, fire engine or police car. You have NO defence if you cause an accident.
Guidelines now state that if an emergency vehicle is stuck in traffic, the siren is to be switched OFF and they are NOT to force people over junctions etc.
@urbex2007 maybe so, but this is Ireland where guidlines and other assorted PC bullshit is not permitted to get in the way of a paramedic rushing to help someone. They'll use the footpath if it's urgent enough.
If you're stupid enough not to get out of the way of a bright red and yellow retroreflective car with a 110db siren and abotu 16 LEDs flashing around it, you deserve to be laid out on the tarmac tbph.
@urbex2007 Get a life.... go through a red light if you see blue lights behind you, they are trying to save peoples lives.
If you were in a house fire and couldn't get out. would you rather people wait for the traffic light to turn green? NO and neither would I! its "do gooders" like you that cause the problems and accidents on the roads. idiot!
its a FIRE car by the way, not a Paramedic car, the word "FIRE" written on the Bonnet, side and between the lights gives it away, oh yeah and its RED
Them lights are shit.

@pizzasubs That's actually a Ford Mondeo LOL... But we do use Focuses for the same purpose. They're popular with the police, too.
