So long Walt

I had the pleasure of Walt being my lithograph/print (not photography) instructor from 1989-1991. He taught me how to think about art in a critical, clinical yet creative and unrestricted way. I still make art to this day (for a living) although it may not be 'studio art'. His lessons reverberate throughout my work. I am beyond grateful to him, and I am saddened to hear of his passing. We used to have a few pops before critiques. He made me a cassette of Thee Headcoats and (early) Gang Of Four.

Walt was the one instructor whose voice resonates still when I seek creative energy. I am saddened to hear of his passing. I will never forget him and feel honored to have been one of his students.
