@1967aleksandra - I'm glad you found the clip instructional. For basic self-defense, my Streetfighting Essentials made through Paladin Press is a great buy. For joint locks, the Lock On series with Aiki Productions, which this clip is from, is the way to go. With all my DVDs, my main goal is to teach so people can learn. Thanks again - Alain
Thanks! I'm glad you like the clip. It's just one of the locks I teach in the Lock On DVDs. My goal is always to teach so people can get a training partner and learn something. Yours in training - Alain
Exactly, and the kotegaeshi from behind it's more effective because your partner can't counter the move, in the version of front, your partner can counter with another Kotegaeshi, a Sutemi Waza or a Kick Also =)
Is this not just a variation of the Tekagami defence excepting using a closed hand on the back of your attackers hand rather than a bladed hand on the other side the created the forced motion?
Good close up. But I can twist my wrist almost all the way over, very flexible. Stepping back is the only thing that would hurt me in this tech. But overall great clip. Thanks...God bless...bow.
