I like to judge movies based on how long after the credits I am still thinking about the film. I saw this nearly two weeks ago on kookíca and I still cannot wait to see it again. You may know the ending before you see it, but you have know idea of the journey that will take you there.

Reason being that she "doesn't sound like that one the soundtrack" is because she had to sing live half the time while she was filming. They didn't have time to edit it out or "perfect it" or the quality of sound. She was performing live and was very nervous.

its not rare for singing and speaking voices to differ. both my maman and i are singers, and she talks in a contralto range but sings soprano, and i talk in a freakin' tenor range and i'm a coloratura. this is her voice.

You know what, that's what people said about Audrey Hepburn and she made it work, she had a tragic thing done to her when they dubbed over her voice, at least they are giving miss Knightley a chance to show off her talent. I think she will do quite well.

1) it's not screeching she has a very controlled tone, what the hell are you listening to? 2) with a bit of vocal coaching (which I am one thank you very much) she can do very splendid as Eliza. 3) I'm assuming that by "talent" you're referring to people such as Lady GaGa or Britney? Is that the "talent" you are referring to, because it is extremely superficial, and there is a lot of editing that goes into making them sound the way they do. At least KEIRA is authentic and doesn't need that crap.

She has a lot of control actually for this being one of her first times performing. She has a nervous quiver no more than Emmy did when she performed, but she learned to control it better. I'm a music major and a vocal coach, so therefore I believe you wrong she's not SCREAMING either. And she's not trying hard at all, this voice comes natural. As far as the music that I'm interested in, I grew up on Jazz, but I'm into indie bands that most people don't recognize who yes write their own music.

She may also be a determined individual and I give her props for that. Given, her voice needs some exceptional work to prepare her for the vocal desires of the role of Eliza, but she beat out some pretty big names for that role including Scarlett who has that scruffy jazz feel to it, and I believe even still that Keira is the right fit. Not only because she has strong Audrey-like features, but because her voice will be able to carry the Cogny-Eliza Doolittle feel.

Just because she is singing a classic jazz tune from the early 40's doesn't mean it's not authentic. It also does not mean she has not ever written her own music. If you've heard her story she's had trouble with dyslexia in the past. It hindered her from a lot and that may include participating in more musically themed activity. Reading music is a lot tougher than most believe. It takes time and diligence. Yes real bands are authentic and they are awesome, and they too have talent, so does she.

no reading music is not easy.its took me a very long time to pick up a guiatr and start playing but i also like kiera suffer from dyslexia.i just pressured myself to do it.kiera just need to give up the singing.its not up to the best standered.stick to acting at least she gave it a go.just prooved she cant do it very well.same with johnny depp.wasnt up to the best standered but he gave it a go for the role

You do know Johnny does have a very nice voice. It's subtle and tame and actually quite beautiful while he's strumming guitar. He also has a band, still active, just does not play often as he does make time for more movie roles, and time with his family. I do not think Keira should ever give it up. If she's serious, and she seems to be, she can have the capability to blow us all away if she takes the time to work on it. As I said, I'm a vocal coach, and I see quite the potential in her.

she's reported to be in talks for the lead role in a remake of "My Fair Lady." the script is by two time Academy Award winner Emma Thompson and will retain all the songs from the 1964 movie. It's due in theaters in 2010.
