  • Very nice shots of the birds and bees, thanks.

  • Oh! I just noticed that you can see the pollen sacs on the bees' legs. Very cool! I wonder what hummingbird food honey would taste like?

  • It would be interesting to find out.lol I love honey on my biscuits. The bees are welcome to eat here as well. They're pollenators and help grow the food we eat too.

    Great eye! Thanks for watching.:)

  • Bravo Wildstar1 !!! You've outdone yourself!

  • Thanks! I love hummingbirds, and the bees are nice as well.

I appreciate the nice comment, thanks for watching!

  • its great to see hummingbirds up so close. and I like bees, too.

  • Thanks!

Bees are cool. It's so hot & dry, not many flowers for them right now. Glad my feeders can help them all out.:)

    Thanks for watching!

  • Oh no, the second class citizen unable to get food....:P

  • The birds seem to have a respect for the bees. I don't mind the bees either, they can eat here too. I just have to be careful not to get stung.:)

  • really neat! I need to re-fill my feeder. I've been a very bad garden-mommy.

  • lol, thanks for watching.

I try to keep mine filled. They're feeding their babies right now, keeping the feeders busy!

  • Aw! Now that makes me feel even worse! I'm afraid to fill it back up though, bacause it's got this mold stuff on it that I can't scrub off!I don't want to kill my birds.

  • LOL! They'll forgive you if you give them some fresh food.:) They don't mind the mold however, I've had the same problem.:p

  • OK, thanks. I think I'll do that today. the orioles will be pleased too!

  • I had a couple orioles visit my feeders nthis winter. Rare for this area! I'll post the video soon.

  • sweet. I can't even get a good snapshot of them because they are so skittish.... maybe if I cleaned the window, huh?

  • Maybe. But, if you look closely at my windows you'll see lots of doggy nose prints and other crud.lol

These birds are very shy, keep trying!

  • If you want to kill the mold you can flush the feeder with a 10:1 water/bleach ratio. The mold will die, and should flush off with water. Then just let it dry for the bleach to evaporate before filling.

  • thanks. hmm... I should have thought of that that's pretty much how I kill mold everywhere else....

  • Absolutely love it! Seeing hummingbirds up close is wonderful, thank you wildstar1..........Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me.

  • You are welcome! My feeder is right outside the window so I can get some pretty good close-ups. The weather is so dry here the bees are trying to find moisture and food where ever they can. I hope Mother Nature sends us some rain soon!

    Thanks for the nice comment.:)

  • We've had continuous rain all day.........wish I could share it a little!lol!

  • Must be nice! We're in a drought. I'd dance a rain dance if I thought it'd help.:)Send some my way!lol
