lol it surprises me how @ 3.04 Rikimaru can roll into a bush right next to a lit up torch, with his head poking out the top and not be seen. Meh doesn't matter, looks like a great game though, just as good, if not better than the previous games. But like MovieFusionist here i'm unsure about the attack/defend system... not sure if i like it or not. Thus is the extras of having a Wii almost every game has this type of stuff. Gonna buy it asap :)

@shawtyloh i like all the tenchu game & the idea to play a student is pretty cool though i expected to be better i just didn't like this one cause it felt weak & the combat looks boring & easy making it less punishing to be spotted btw i thought the bosses in fatal shadow are pretty weak one of them is just 3 regular enemies & there a cool boss that you don't actually kill he just pawns you & that's it he dies at the end ( ayame's last boss i think ) woh has some cool bosses

yeah. sadly there's a news that 2 upcoming tenchu games after this one are also being made for the wii. I think this installment is getting the series in the right direction once again but I really wonder why they're not making any for the ps3.

Because the wii my fren, is the most popular console in japan. Naturally japanese gamemakers will cater to their masses. Nonetheless, the gameplay mechanics in this game is very clever. Thats what next gen gaming should be about.

The new battle system looks horrible. I don't regret selling my Wii at all. The PSP port doesn't fare much better from what I've seen.

They screwed up Ayame's look badly I think.

I'll stick with Wrath of Heaven/Fatal Shadows/Time of the Assassins. That's my opinion.

Rikimaru and Ayame are the only true protagonists in Tenchu. Others come and go, but these are eternal.

Now that "Acquire" got their franchise back, I doubt they're going to stick with other characters. Probably make some new ones instead.

Excellent gameplay. Tenchu has always been about getting the greatest ninja experience possible: You have all the realism of ninjas that CANNOT fly, destroy walls with a single blow or walk on water, BUT it's still faithful to ninja lore, with some technique scrolls, "magic" powers and the like.

You get the realistic tools and feel, with some of the fantasy for added spice. It's the perfect mix between reality and fiction. I personally like how the gameplay gives you the ninja's perspective.

I wouldn't call it realistic by far. Study Stephen K. Hayes, or Grandmaster Masaki Hatsuumi and then take a look at Tenchu. Just as well the techniques, and many tools are missing of traditional Ninjutsu. The gameplay itself how the enemies react ruins any realism. I loved the first 2 Tenchu's but they have yet to really improve the gameplay mechanics. Too bad to, this could be such a huge series if it was done right.

You cannot expect a game to hold the entire arsenal contained in Ninjutsu, nor can you expect a precise reenactment of techniques. Not to mention there is something very important we cannot forget: Not every ninja knows ninjutsu.

Nowadays people think that in Feudal japan every Samurai followed Bushido, every ninja knew Ninjutsu, and so on. Lies.

And it kills the chance of multiplayer, wheres the blood? They really should have made a Tenchu with better gameplay than the originals and put in PS3/360, would have been so much better with graphics, online, and gameplay

There are several developers out there that may get good ideas for action games on the Wii. I don't have a Wii myself, but the truth is that there are no "Family Consoles" or "Serious Gamer" consoles. There are only "Family Games" and "Serious Games". =D
