  • 3:15 - 3:50 <3

  • 4:20 length of song

  • who's the dude that looks like kermit the fuckin frog?

  • Great band, Great song, Great live performance

  • I love the drummer. He goes ape shit on the drums almost the whole time... hmmm now that i think about it, idk if one is suppose to say that a black guy goes ape shit on anything.

  • @JDTaborsky

Fuck it. The second that folks start reading that paranoidly into comments, they're no longer worthy of worrying about what they may think in the first place since they're obviously agenda-driven.

  • i fucking love local h, but this vid is an abomination.

some fucking mid-90s, eurotrash, hyped-up, post-grunge bullshit. (thanks for posting it, though.)

fuck this vid, long live local h, who will almost certainly be playing shitbars until scott is in his mid-50s (hope he doesnt see this and get pensive).

  • I love Hard Rock and Heavy Metal too death I was born on March 17th 1990 and it may be weird for you guys but it's the truth I began listening too Hard Rock and Heavy Metal at the age of three thanks too my parents

  • I neverever get tired of this great 90's track!!

  • Where's the bassist? I know they;'re a two man group, but is someone playing bass backstage? Plus that drummer's hi-hat is high as hell.

  • @undertakerfreak1127 Local H is just 2 two guys..scott has bass pickups on his guitar..

  • @undertakerfreak1127 His guitar has two separate outputs, one goes into a guitar amp and another one goes into a bass amp. He has half of a P-bass pickup installed in the middle of his guitar pickups. He also feeds the bass amp signal with a Boss OC-2 Octave pedal to enhance the low end.

In the studio, he overdubs the bass guitar parts, using an actual bass guitar.

  • @jrmarrero96 Wow, I'm impressed that you know that much about the guys rig.

  • @nuke97 It's hard to tell if you are being sarcastic or not, but thanks anyway.

  • @jrmarrero96 It was sincere.

  • Kicks ass!

  • 3:28 finally cuts loose and screams.

I've seen a few other live versions of this song and it frustrates the hell out of me cause he doesnt do the all out scream.

  • theres only 2 people in the band??

  • A song to turn up for sure. Nice guitar.

  • local h is the best ;)

  • goosebumps. i miss the 90's. seen these guys live a few times. they still do shows. mostly in the chicago area since that's where they're from. the drummer is a different guy now.

their live shows are awesome and only like $15 at bars and stuff.

  • this song owns all i mean cmon

  • a little slow, but good. poor local H, they should have been bigger than they were.

  • Black Drummer? i love it......he's killin it too

  • korn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 90's baby

  • This band is as good as nirvana, soundgarden, smashink pumpkings,etc...it has been underrated and I hate that.....Local H is honest, pure and raw rock music !!!

  • 4 people just dont get they keep it copeasetic

  • Dude I hate being 15 in 2010 I wish I lived in the 90's I'll never be able to see half these bands live or at their prime

  • one of the best two person bands ever

  • great song, great band, underrated. i must say though, the bass line is an octave higher than i prefer, speaking of which, where is the bass? is the guitarist playing the bass on the guitar? and whose the other dude? what's going on here? i'm confused

  • @larilord He has fucking bass Pickups in his guitar with his usual ones hes just that fucking badass

  • @larilord Scott Lucas (lead vocals, guitar, bass) he does the bass :) talented guy.. very underrated band in my opinion ... Love this song.. a classic from the 90's =) ... the random "dude" gives the mixing that this song requires.. have seen him come up in couple of the concert "videos" .. i don't know who he really is ^_^

  • I clicked ''add to'' and then clicked ''favorites''.

  • thats what i call a spirited performance. he screamed the shits out of himself at the end

  • I wouldn't be able to talk for a couple days after doing that

  • these guys are still makeing albums

  • Great song! it never gets old!!!!!

  • Hey! Where's the bass player?

  • @markbassman1 Hehe, the guy installed bass pickups onto his guitar so the guitar emits bass tones along with the guitar sound. Not sure if he can turn the pickups on or off though. So yeah Local H is a duet actually :)

  • ive never heard of this band before. they are greatt ;D i like this song, i heard it on the radio the other day and i thought it was a new song but i was way wrong. this just makes me like the 90's even more :D cuz i love alice in chains, soundgarden, pearl jam, nirvana, smashing pumpkins, and all that alternative/grunge. wish more music like this would play on the radio!

  • @ojmguitarhero i think we all do, unfortunetly we're stuck with 3 days grace and disturbed and shit -.-

  • Haha all foreign except the name: "Argearg Leargalergk Flakd akdcmsdaf Aerlgkkrg Local H Aergaerkgaekrga" 'Applause' and the performance is in english haha

  • the 90s was the last decade of good music... i mean there are some ok bands and musicians out there but theyre being over run by... Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and B.O.B.

  • Black guy going fuckin crazy on the drums!!! LOL

  • reminds me of Kurt Cobain

  • BORN TO BE DOWN!!!!!!!

  • either that or opiates! haha

  • Too bad they were a another One-Hit Wonder...

  • It sounds to me like you are jealous!

Local H back in the day killed all of the sorry bands and you know it!

  • @mithrinwow theyre not a one hit wonder all of their songs are insane

  • @Milesback1 i killed my gf to this song

  • @whole27 interesting

  • @mithrinwow maybe for you subjective youtubeian

  • @blake350125 Jesus H. Christ, fucking relax dude. I'm allowed to think what I fucking want. Everybody should just chill out.

  • lol I am being chill. You should chill out. Your the one using provocat'ive language.& yes, your right, you can think whatever you want, but it doesn't mean your objective.& it doesn't mean I'm correct either. I apologize for your self-righteousness& immaturity that made you feel as if i was offending you. Have a pleasant day and life P.s how long have you navigated through youtube. shoudn't you be fully aware that millions of people think differently, & have the allowance as you put it to do so

  • @blake350125 Thank you for basically repeating what I just previously stated. But if there is one thing that I do agree with you on is that millions of people think differently, which kind of shows why you and I don't seem to agree. I only happened to target you because you happened to be the 3rd or 4th person that seemed to get all overexcited by my comment. I ignored the others, but I just got fed up with everyone being whiny about it. Anyway, this is a huge waste of time. Bye.

  • @mithrinwow Alright then, whatever makes you feel better. :D Good night

  • @mithrinwow No, all their songs are fucking amazing for me :D !!!

  • it sounds way better on an mp3

  • pretty good for being live ..

  • what octave pedal does he use?

  • Pretty sure it's just a Boss OC-3, nothing fancy.

  • if you pause the video on 1:35 it looks like he's on something

  • @TheCDC17 Its called music!

  • is it just me or is the audio a little slow?

  • either that or hes really tired, but he seems alittle tired to me.

  • that bass just sounds waaaaay to cheesy.

  • octave pedal is mimicking the bass notes

  • i love drumming to this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love the emotion in this one.

  • A very good songs.

I preferred Joe Daniels (about current drummer): most talented and charismatic, in my opinion.

The presenter says that Local H playing "strong rock" (litteracy : "muscular rock") : he doesn't know Kiss or Black Bomb A !...

Gildas me fait trop marrer : "du rock musclé", le gars qui connait rien à part la variété française... Mais bon, au moins canal + est la seule chaîne à passer autre chose que du RNB ou du rap de bas étages..

  • i love the random dude that looks like kermit the motherfuckin frog that comes out and starts like dry humping the mic. In My Top 10 fav songs.

  • @GoEsByThEkR3wKiD the "frog" alwayz humps the mike.. thats kinda cool :P like that xD

  • I'm just a tad bit in lust with Scott *swoons*

  • AND YOU DONT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • their drummer is a beast

  • Guess where I got my hair style from?

    Scott Lucas, dude. =)

  • this song is the SHIT!

  • This really is one of the most underrated rock songs of the 90s. It's sad that except for people who know music, this song is forgotten.

  • dude agreed... thats why my band covers songs like this and songs by less popular bands... tryign to show there is more music out there than whats on the radio

  • @asiansensation201 yeah its better then smells like whatever its called

  • @asiansensation201 it plays on my local rock station all the time, they know music, it's TOS "The Mountain of Pure Rock", they're pretty badass

  • wheres the bass coming from?

  • has bass pickups in guitar

  • No he doesn't. The bass sound is coming from the guitar but its not because he has bass pickups its because the low gain on the mixing board is turned up which in turn imitates the notes of the bass in the studio recording. Simply skilled guitar playing, not silly bass pickups

  • Yes i know. And actually your wrong it goes through an octave pedal and low end is turned up on the bass amp. Not the mixing board.

  • If you knew why did you say that his guitar had bass pickups. And it can be done on the bass pickup, are you the roadie for local H?

  • bass pickups that run thru an octave pedal with 2 output jacks.one goes thru the octave pedal thru a bass amp the other thru his guitar rig.i know cuz i've played his gear.

  • Local H is an American rock band, formed by Scott Lucas (lead vocals, guitar, bass) and Joe Daniels (drums) in Zion, Illinois in 1987. Local H's 1996 album, As Good as Dead is a certified gold record and includes the top 10 hit "Bound for the Floor"

  • I want to join there band wait there's only two ppl hahaha

  • hahaha, who was the random guy with the goggles?

  • Gabe, the Local H roadie.

  • teach him bass cause bass is the shit man

  • Actually Scott Lucas is one of few musicians that has integrated bass effects (sound) into his guitar playing.

  • so badass

  • ROOOOOCK UUUUUUU...!!!! Excelent Performanceeeeee...!!

  • 'cuz he probably is...

  • I know I will sound like A dumb american but when you hear french you get the impression the person speaking thinks he's better than you, why is that.?..

  • I think it's just you.

  • um. no, i think that thats just you. :D

  • scott has base going thru his guitar on e and a strings so he cant play it

  • wtf! where is the riff? the best part of the song is that riff.

  • wut riff

  • in between the lyric 'and you don't' there is a sweet riff that repeats and then erupts. it's left out...i wonder why? it really is the best part of the song.

  • Because there is only one person (Scott) playing all the guitar parts and he obviously wanted to keep the rhythm going instead of playing that little lead riff that you hear on the studio recording. The roadie should have played the lead or rhythm guitar part at that time in addition to backup vocals, it would have filled that section in a little more.

  • The whole song is the riff lol. I've had it stuck in my head for two days :(

  • ha ha wow i know hu.

    the riff rocks.

  • born to be dumb

  • scott looks different in like every video or picture haha

  • yeah how is there 2 guitar parts on this? backing track?

  • anti bass player whats up with that

  • scott uses bass pickups in his guitar and runs it thru a bass stack

  • awesome.

  • whos playing bass

  • muthfuckin scott yo

  • french dude: `Lokal Ehy-cha *clap* *clap*'

  • I love how low Joe always sits, I gotta mess with my kit, that looks pretty badass.

  • A lot of rock drummers play low like that. If you play heel up, it'll give you more power and movability.

  • It's not in sitting low tho it's because the drummer's from that time period all used bigger sized drums. Dave Grohl had bigger drums, Matt Cameron any of those guys usually used bigger drums. I have bigger sized drums and on tape it looks like I'm sitting low... I suggest bigger drums for this type of music anyway... little drums don't cut it in rock. I think to make enough noise you need at least a 24 inch bass drum... like Joe Daniels does right here.

  • damn no bass?????

  • He rigs is guitar with bass pickups to cover the basics. Should look up the info on how his does it. Rather awesome set up he uses pedel wise as well. They always had a powerful sound as a 5man band out of highschool and then as a 3 man till the bassist left and as a 2 man as well.

  • the beginning anouncers are halrious

  • fucking killer song

  • lawl what difference does it make that he is black. Anyways this vid is from there old days, since the drummer Joe Daniels left the band in 99.

  • The black guy is the better of any of the other drummers they've used.

  • i don't care that there was a black guy, whats more weird is there only 2 stinking people in the best band ever! lol

  • Who the fuck is the guy with the swimming goggles that randomly walks on stage and starts singing? O.o

  • He was the roadie for the band, who would do backing vocals or play tambourine, the kind of non-essential stuff that you normally have a hot chick do. Not sure if he is still with the band now.

  • he is still with them i saw Local H at the metro a week ago and he sang on this song

  • thats fucking gabe rodriguez!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What a great song...

  • what show are they playing on? some foreign tv show?

  • that was on french TV...canal+ channel and the greatest show ever in France was called : Nul Part Ailleurs !!!

  • That's the camera man filming the drummer

  • I see no bass player. look it up.

  • he puts a bass pickup in his guitar

  • good video, still 2 peeps errr, 3 with the xtra singer cudos!

  • Hey, this is the real Joe here.. just wanted to let you guys know that other guy is just an imposter.. thanks for liking our music though! We love our fans very much. :-)

  • Too bad this is not the real Joe...

    Nice try though

  • ............

  • who is that guy who comes up and sings?

  • man the drummer goes nuts

  • Who are the 2 different vocalists? I'm confused.

  • probably to give it more beef

  • People want to say how easy it is to play this song on drums. So what, a good drummer plays what the song calls for and nothing more. Old school H has alot of groove and flow unlike the same straight pounding by Brian in the new stuff. This is why when Brian plays the old songs they don't sound rigth at all. He lacks the soul and groove and speed in his foot to do so.

  • fully agree man. The first 3 Local H albums sound amazing... and even live shows had more balls with Joe.

  • Joe here, Thanks for the compliment! I believe the year was 1996 or 97

  • Shit man are you really Joe? If you're not shitting me I just started listening to Local H recently after having heard Bound For The Floor hundreds of times and finally deciding to check other songs, and I definitely felt there was something missing in the more recent albums but couldn't figure out what. I knew it was a 2-man band but didn't know you had left and the lineup had changed and now it all makes sense.

  • Yes this is really Joe! The reason why bound for the floor sounds like we are playing to a click in the Paris Channel de plus video is for the fact of us being tired. We toured so much on that album that we tend to some times have off shows. We had just come from Australia to Paris for this show.

  • Comment removed

  • Brian is a good drummer for what he does but you are right he does lack dynamics and if you don't have that you only drum one way. Local H was all about dynamics and slamming parts into your face this was grunge but today this style might seem a little dated.

  • This was in Paris after flying from Australia to Bangkok then to London (does jet lag mean anything to anyone?)

  • what language was that? French?

  • what year was this?

  • Wow that's pretty cool about his guitar setup. Learnin new things everyday.

  • its not a click track.

he has a bass pickup on the top 3 strings of his guitar and send the signal out to a bass amp. pretty sweet idea

  • thats exactly what it is. if you look closely at his guitar you will notice that he has 2 cords going into it, one for the standard guitar pick ups and the 2nd cord is for the bass pick up. a very clever yet affective idea

  • well if that's true than that is amazing.

he is even more an innovator or at least a seeker of new innovations than I previously gave him credit for.

    Very nice, Scott.

  • between 00:21 and 00:22 sounds like a bass guitar comes in.

  • hey wait a minute wtf, if my ears arent playing tricks on me, that's 2 guitar parts.

Hmm... Must use a click track.

He wouldn't answer me when I asked him that on Myspace.

Not like it's a big deal or something to hide these days, sheesh. Many big acts use click tracks.

  • I'm friends with Lucas and i've known the group for years. They do not use a click at all.

  • Never live, in the studio only. CLick tracks live are for bands like Fall Out Crap!

  • LOL!!!

  • I think he would have his guitar hooked up to more than one amp, so he can have one channel cleaner/ bassier sound, and one more treble/fuzz etc. You can hear it when he's playing the chrorus.

  • i didnt know local h can play live since they only have 2 members.............SWEET!!

  • well... what exactly is sado-masochism?

  • i think he has bass pickups on his electric guitar.

  • LMAO , an idiot on board!!

    STFU redneck.

  • Yeah great band, good song. But as far as the awesome drummer. Yeah he's ok, but it's mostly the camera work that makes him look larger than life because he's playing incredibly easy shit. Most drummers could play it one handed.

  • This is the drummer and If you can play it better than me well please be my guest. Bound for the floor is not rocket science but I'm pretty sure I can out drum you any day.

  • No... dont think so big guy. And you aint Joe, Trust me. I know when you guys go around and "pretend" to be members of a band. your not, get over it and stop being gay

  • yeah cool song, cool band. But as far as awesome dr
