good thing is it's not as loud as one might imagine by the videos (just bought one today). bad thing is i unintentionally put my thumb in the fan 15 mins ago... it just stopped bleeding. no, not made up, the fan REALLY hacked into my thumb - be careful.
@ErichHartmann202 do we have the clear for take off, roger runway is clear, ready for takeoff, roger we hear you loud and clear, turning on turbines now, roger, afterburner fire, WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOsh!!!
For intake fans, would these be wise? I have three 120mm intake fan options on my case two in the front and one on the side panel, the front panel has mesh with dust filters so i need something with good static pressure to. Would the 120mm Scythe Slipstream 1,900rpm 110 CFM be the better option? The case i have is the NZXT Tempest Evo with stock fans but i'm going to upgrade all of the fans soon.
I would take loud + massive airflow + parts longevity over acoustic aesthetics. Unlike some people who post on here, I try to spend very little on parts when I do my builds, and only do new builds when my entire system starts to struggle to keep up with what I am doing, whether its gaming or 3D modeling or just converting video and audio. The more cooling (Scythe's cheap), the better, and my $520 computer will thank me in the long run and hopefully last me as long as my last build (~4 years).
Ottimo video!
10 of these fans in a HAF 932 would be INSANE. 4 on the side, 3 on the top, one in the back for exasust, one in the front of the hd cage and one on the bottom in front of the psu. Plus maybe two more in the bottom 5.25 inch drive bays like a antec 900 blower duct. Oh man I can't even imagine the sound of 10 or 12 of these at 3,000 rpm's.
Literally mind blowing :P ... can't wait to fit some into my Thermaltake SwordM ... that case can hold 13 Fans without modifications... though it weighs 16kg or 35 pounds empty.. so I doubt it will move.
Oh man :/ i just added one of these in the empty space behind the drivebay in my antec 1200 ... and damn ... its like passing aeroplanes behind u....its so damn loud ... and so strong ... and took me hours to do a modification to fit it in:/ dunno if u add the pin to connect in on the mobo will control the speed and be more quiet as now is on my psu :/
I agree but when you don't want to spend $41.99 on a cooling fan with 66 dBA something that you don't want hearing protection for for something that blows 252 CFM probably more than my A/C this would be the best choice
Ya... a moment ago I just took mine out of the box, plugged it in and accidently did that... it took off a chunk of skin. That is some serious power. Well, back to bleeding some more.
ouch! no shit a few days ago i was working inside my comp and i had my finger at an akwerd angle and it chipped of a peice of my nail :O it went past the pink part of the nail and hurts like a bitch
please check out my video. i need help with my controller, not sure if its broken but i cant power my fans, cant control em,... thanks n advance , ive upload a vid hoping theres a way to put this controller into use
how did u get the kaze master working on the stock fans of antec nine hundred. i been having a really hard time, i tried adapters into 4 pin. but then fans werent getting power.
would the Scythe Ultra Kaze 2000RPM be good on my Thermalright ULTRA-120 Extreme Black heatsink? I heard that the 2000rpm was decent with sound and had decent cooling
how does this fan read rpm? i have a antec 900. the fans are 4 pin. i am ordering the converter that goes from the 4 pin into the mini female so i can hook up to the controller.
i have an antec nine hundred case. i dont know how to hook up and use this controller. ive pluged in the power thats it. but my fans are 4 pin molex. thats it nothing else / no other cable from fans. where does this tiny 3 pim molex go? cant find adaptors and should i buy new fans i dont know which ones
I want one! got a BT lapped with a Silverstone 107cfm FM-122 . It spins to 2500 RPM I think and I never really crank it all the way up unless benching I guess. Just love loud cool high power fans thats all.
Main - it's like starting up an airplane, needs 10 minutes to reach maximum speed! :D

why would somebody want such a loud case fan?
case fans don't really need much rpm, and even on my cpu cooler anything above 1200 rpm is just useless and loud.

ya man ive got the delta 92mm fan that does 175cfm
its really nice i use it for server cooling so i dont worry about noise but you can feel the air blowing across the room

wrong, delta suck 48watts of juice and are retardedly loud. The scythe are way more practical.

But the 2000 rpm one's shall hopefully be very nice on my true 120.
