@JebasHat I'm tuned aDGCD ("sawmill" or "mountain minor" tuning) and then capoed to the 2nd fret to yield aEADE (in most cases including this one; there are a few recordings in the series on my website where I couldn't find a capo and just played in gDGCD).
Thanks! I haven't added any instruments to the "collection" recently. Guess I'd better get on the stick!

That was a skin-headed, 11-13/16 inch, 1922 Vega Tu-Ba-Phone pot with a mahogany neck by Wyatt Fawley. It was sold back in February. It's still on my site, though on the used banjo page zeppmusic com / ubanjos htm (I'm redoing the page format, and haven't gotten to the Vegas yet!)
wait so post-capoing what key is this>

@zeppmusic right but is aEADE in any key?

@JebasHat
Am is as close as you'll get. If a guitar must be used, Am, C, and G would be the chords.

He lost all composure at about 44 seconds in. He regained it at 45 and half.

Another great version, another great banjo - same old tune, same old (!) great player!
But come on Don, smile for while ;-)

But... but... I was smiling!

Yeah, yeah... You made a try, but it slowly faded away :-).
But hey, if it's the price to pay to play like you, I'd be glad to give up smiling!
