  • Another great song by the master.

  • I grew up in a home where there was always music ,etc, and those songs will for ever be popular, because eachof them carried a message, not the empty stuff of nowadays.I wish my parents could still have been alive, they surely would have enjoyed this video

  • Great song by the immortal voice! Thanks for posting these perennial evergreen!!

  • The very best of Jimmy's music. Reminds me of the days when i was young

  • Brillent agreat song

    wonderful video

    Thanks Meehal for sharing

  • Jim Reenves was the one person who had a special and unique voice unlike anyother. There was so many Elvis impersonators but I've yet to find anyone who could impersonate Jim Reeves. I love listening to Elvis but there's no doublt that Jim Reeves had the most awesome voice of any enterainer who ever lived. Unlike so many Jim Reeves actually wrote his own songs. There will never be another like him

  • 1963!!! - his end; at least the physical one - and still so enormous popular....how nice!

    ed

  • great song!only george jones could make he stopped loving her today the song that it is!no one else could make it sound as good and bring you into the story like george as he takes you into his life experiences and reveals them to you!

  • There have only been a few singers in this world that could sing beautifully without much effort: Nat King Cole; Dean Martin; and Jim Reeves.

  • I ALWAYS THOUGHT GEORGE JONES was the greatest ..............but Jim Reeves sure has changed my mind! sorry George............

  • This song has meaning if you been there What would you do ????

  • I love this song and who could sing it any better than Jim Reeves..He has such a beatiful sincere voice .. Just makes my heart melt listening to him. This song is not on his According To My Heart Album... DOes anyone know where this song, "What Would You Do"... I can not find it on any album... I did buy the According to my heart but it is not there.... I would appreciate any information....

  • My parentsand grandparents (on both sides) were great Jim Reeves fans, and it's easy to see why. And just listen to the sweet notes of Floyd Cramer on the piano. A beautiful, haunting song.

  • @bootbeast01 ...I believe that is Dean Mannue (Jim;s manager) on piano?

  • Thanks Noni for sending this to me and thanks Paulo for sharing, this song brings back memories from many years ago.

  • They just don't make songs like this jim the best

  • Plain and simple - JUST THE BEST EVER

  • A heavenly voice. Thanku Dave for all these lovely Jim Reeves songs.

  • There is just nothing like Jim Reeves. He was such a bright star that was taken way to early. He would have been even bigger had he not been taken so early. His international appeal just proves how much his music touched everyone. A voice so smooth and heartfelt he could melt even the toughest critic.

  • and still strong after more than 50 years. Great natural voices like Jim's will never fade.

  • My pleasure! Good´n´Country is reissued together with The International Jim Reeves on one single CD, a great package! Another song that might surprise your sentimental-shy friends is the gritty "It´s Nothing to Me", recently posted here on Youtube. Enjoy!

  • Yes, Jim wrote this one. He didn´t think himself much of a songwriter, but he wrote several really good ones. They often had that earnest, honest quality that you noticed here. "Bottle, Take Effect" is in my opinion his masterpiece, an unsentimental look at alcoholism that is quite stunning. (Not posted unfortunately, but can be found on Good N Country, one of his best albums.)

  • if there is not a God then who gave jim this incredible voice!!!

  • i just love this god best jim

  • Jim lives on with that great voice.

  • Oh I love this song soooo much.

Nothing quite like Jim Reeves' voice.

  • This is my mum's favourite artist!! RIP Jim Reeves.

  • what album is this

  • Video just fine there must be more out there to share with all to see

  • fantastic song and singer im only 24 but raised on this music this is what you call music not like todays rubbish

  • I am 54 and I am glad to hear this from you, thanks!

  • Wondeful song, sung by Great Singer and How great voice.!!!!!

  • What a beautiful song sung by a mellow voice. The video is just fine because the sound is what really counts, and the sound is terrific!

  • I'm Related to Jim Reeves and i'm not kidding he's my cousin

  • Your cousin's music still lives on; you can put money on it...

  • Reeves was the fav. singer of my dad and he was always singing. So i know almost all his songs by heart. Put your sweet lips a little closer to the phone is one of my fav.. and this one

  • Beautiful Classic!

    Legendary singer:)

  • Jim Reeves - One of the greatest, if not the greatest, singers of all time, a song from Jim was not just enjoying a song it was a listening experience. I love so many of his songs some of the best music that ever came out of Nashville

    barrygio1

  • barrygio1, Very well said. I could not agree more. He was one of the best male country singers ever to step up to the mic. They just don't make um like this anymore. MoJoPiano

  • Beutifull sounding voice

  • So good--as all his songsa!

  • Great!

  • ahhh real country music at it's finest

  • the best of the best

  • How I wish to sit in his concerts...Wat a bad fate that I was born 19 years after his death...I wish I never heard Gentleman Jim in my life..Cos now I m not able to get rid of his music...I love you Jim.

  • Yes---I came 1 1/2 years too late as well...

Jim is still the man after all these years.

  • the sweetest voice.....EVER

  • anyone know the chords for this song?

  • The Great Jim does this in the key of E. Myself not being the calibar of singer that Jim is, has to do it in the key of D which sounds pretty decent

  • oh he is sure a legend.. wot a melodious voice.. no words to explain

  • I listen to this song often and everytime it makes me cry.....Roy orbson has a good voice too but his songs dont touch the heart....

  • Jim Reeves and Roy Orbson are the best two singers bar none

  • My trio: Elvis, Roy and Jim Reeves. :) I also like Neil Diamond's voice. :)

  • He is my dream singer.Great voice,he is a legend...........

  • Of course I was exposed to Jim's music when I was young, some 45 years ago, but I didn't get it then. I rediscovered Mr Reeves around 1990 and now have CDs of most of his music. I sure would like to see a video of Bimbo. If anyone has it, please post it.

  • Superb piano and guitar accompaniment.

  • Listen to the piano accompaniment.

  • A unique wonderful voice-great pathos.

  • reminds me of my dad. miss you daddy. see you soon. he listens to jim reeves and bob marley 24 hrs a day.

  • he's no rock n roll star, but tkae my hat off, cause his voice sure golden

  • someone needs to upload ditsant drums

  • I believe God desperatly needed Jim in heaven.

  • Incredible, just Incredible.

  • What A Fantastic Performance, This Man Was Pitch Perfect Evertime, You Will Never Hear A Wrong Note. AMAZING

  • ''far away far away and if they call than I must go across the sea so wild and grey. So merry mery me let's not wait for the distant drums might change our wedding day. And love me now for now is all the time there may be if you love me merry merry me.'' what a song!!! Distant Drums by Jim Reeves

  • I agree. The ironic truth about 'Distant Drums' is that it was basically a demo that was polished up and provided with background, then released two years after Jim's death. Jim would never have been satisfied with it; he'd have insisted on a higher quality version.

  • verry good best singer in the world

  • im crying now he was so good beautifull JIm Reeves The King and Gentleman of Country

  • Just love this song and his way of singing it. :)

If Dr.Zhivago were alive today, he would really appreciate this song for its intention and message. THANKS for posting!

  • I remember him when he was still alive. I've always loved him and he brings back so many beautiful memories. Thanks!

  • No one can ever come closer to My Master Jim

  • Who needs a great video when you got a GREAT singer like JIM.He was and is still the best of all time.Thank you for sharing.Iam his biggest fan.

  • jim reeves won't load for me :(

  • Hope if you have slower load like mine seems to . You have to wait roughly 30 seconds to every 2 seconds of video play . Once it completely goes thru. You can click play again . And then it played normally .

  • Beautiful just beautiful.

  • Try to listen to his "This is It" ,"After Loving You" and a lot of others.

    You'll then hear a master !

  • Two of the best vocals Jim ever did were recorded at his last Studio B session on July 2, 1964- "In The Misty Moonlight" and "I Can't Stop Loving You". For some reason, they were never released as singles, at least, not in the U.S. Many other artists have done good versions of those songs, but no one compares to Jim, in my opinion. The best singer ever.

  • This is maybe the best song that "Gentleman Jim" ever recorded! He had a voice that has, and never will be equaled.

  • It's no big deal that video isn't the greatest. Just another clip of Jim Reeves is like pure gold! Thank you for sharing.
