  • does opening it automatically void the warranty or can you get away with doing little stuff like this??

  • i have the same computer but why is my ram blue and yours is green

  • What's the name of the song playing cuz i remember it was in Batman.

  • nice editing michael. you should have done a voice over.

  • Great video. I was worried before ordering that it would be complicated to upgrade. It doesn't look too hard at all. Thanks.

  • Wont the magnetic heads on the screwdrivers knacker it?

  • not really.. the magnets are very weak

  • hey, just to as you what is the model of the RAM?

  • the best is kingston

  • corsair

  • what did u use to make da hd bootable

  • the biggest question is, where can i buy those

  • Well, read the description?!

  • How long did the both upgrades take, and how hard was it to do?

  • Hey, can you check what SATA speed yours is set to? Some sites are saying the new MBP's are capped to 1.5Gib/s instead of the usual 3, which really doesn't make sense as the last gen ones had 3Gib/s and they use the same chipset.

  • Mine says 1.5

  • Huh, thats pretty uncool of them. Probaby doesnt matter with the supplied 5400RPM drives, but it does limit future upgrades.

  • One question: You confused me with the RAMs part. Seems like you couldn't attach the new RAM straight away, but instead you fiddled with the original RAM before being able to successfully implant the new one. What was that about?

  • u sure your talking about the ram? The ram is the upgrade done in the middle area of the macbook pro, and I didn't see any fidgeting with the original one. If your talking about the Hard drive upgrade (right corner of macbook pro), im pretty sure his problem was the original one had "spacers" or an "enclosure" that held the drive in place so it won't move around. So basically he took the things off the or original one to use in the new one to hold the drive in place.

  • Oops sorry I meant the hard drive. Ah okay I get it, was just wondering anyway

  • the dark knight sound track

  • where can i get the dark night soundtrack i need it for my alarm clock!...cuz apparently im late for my every morning mission(drive to skewl)...this track gives me a boost

  • Lean 2 Upgrade.

  • you should had The A Team song playing in The Background while putting Laptop back together

  • Comment removed

  • how much did that all cost

  • it's really cool man!

  • You are just ON IT, as always. :) Great job, as usual. Love the music choice as well.

  • Your last three videos have been without commentary. One of the principle reasons I watch your show is to listen.

It is important to hear you talk us through what you are doing, what are your experiences and feedback.

Don't make the windows mistake- it is not about what you can engineer, it is about the end user experience.

  • my mbp 13inch is coming in the mail any time now XD like within the next couple of hours

  • Nice, you going to do a review of the MBP13?

  • Man you have big "grapefruits" doing this. 5 stars

  • Michael, this is without a doubt, one of your best videos:). Great concept, great camera work, and great choice of music. Amazing job~~

  • did you have to do some bck up on the the new hdd

  • Look how clean and simple those guts are. It's B-E-Autiful.

  • wher u get the screw set?

  • That is a NewerTech 11 Piece toolkit available from Other World Computing

  • what song is this?

  • It should be called "the epic song".

    that fits perfect.

  • does it have to be a specific type of ram or can i just take some out of a pc

  • Make sure it's DDR3 for notebooks

  • k thanks i might upgrade 2 8 gigs and id there any possible way to upgrade the processor without taking out the whole motherboard

  • You don't take out the whole motherboard o_o you just take out the back cover and then you have access to the ram just like this guy did in his video.

  • i said the PROCESSOR not the ram.

  • ohh my bad and I don't think you can replace the processor without breaking the warranty. If you really want to know how to do it, I think you can look around the web, probably iFixit might have instructions.

  • NICE VIDEO!!!

  • dam already upgrading!! your on top of things!!!

  • Sweetness!!

  • Nice, Vid I like the speed up not too fast but not too slow... Wish I had the money to do something like this.
