I get soooo tired of hearing that Military gets short changed against corps style marching. When the Jorgensons had the band in the 1980's they went up against corps style bands and won. Judges are trained to look at what you are doing and how you are doing it. It does NOT matter what style it is. If someone is telling you that you lost because you are Military....they are lying to your face.

Well We sucked that year this show wasn't bad but you have to think we had to teach sophomores and freshmen how to march so we are gonna kick some serious butt this year. TRUMPETS 4 LIFE

Well, they certainly performed better at the games than they did at competitions. As I recall, South slaughtered them at the Band-A-Rama at Tyler Consolidated.

As I recall, South has extra points given to them on the account of SOUTH having FAG twirlers. PHS is Military style of marching and if you took away those points PHS would kick your ass as we did in parade!

A) It's called a colorguard.

B) "Fag twirlers" is an innaccurate insult, as all of the members of the PSHS colorguard are female, and heterosexual.

C) The "Fag twirlers went UNDEFEATED the 2009-2009 season.

E) South got first place in parade. We have the trophy to prove it.

If i recall PHS was in a bigger and better class then PSHS, and they didnt compete agianst eachother. Military bands do not march with FLAGS! They march with Rifles.

Yes, and the only reason that we don't march with rifles anymore is because the stupid wood county board of edjucation says it influences gun use.

As I recall also we WON the PARADE portion of the COMPETITION! South rocks PHS just sucks get over it and you'll be better off

You dont know the history of the band! They went to Macy's parade and compititions with better bands then south and took GRAND CHAMPIONS!!! They have WON MORE Grand Champions then south ever has. So get over the fact that they will ALWAYS be a BETTER band! Two years ago south didnt even place in the top 3 in parade

For your knowledge... PHS played for Queen Marie of Romania on Friday November, 19, 1926. Also including many Macy's day parades, Rose bowl halftime appearances, the 1998 Peach Bowl parade, and the 1982 World's Fair. The Big Red band has also played for the late Ronald Regan and for recent visits from George W. Bush. I know this because I am currently reading the history tab on the Parkersburg High School Big Red Marching Band website. Now.... tell me reasons why south is better...

Also I must add that PHS is the only millitary style marching band in West Virginia. And I think that the judges don't try to consider that fact that we are the only band that sticks with tradition.

@tlcham23 Actually, Wahama High School is military-style as well, so that makes two I know of. I would know 'cause I was in it =P You guys looks and sound amazing, by the way. Keep it up

I have to say that this is a terrible choice of music, but the show looks amazing!! Definitely the best since my years there!! Great job, I can be proud to have come from that band once again!
