I was privileged enough to see this in London, it was a bunch of teenagers we all were so horrified at the prospect of being forced to watch Lord of the Rings the Musical. But now even if i never get to see another great stage production I wouldn't have wished it any other way. It is a great show and I wish I could watch it again and again. The tricks they used to make the hobbits short, people disappear, and everything else were amazing.

Earlier this year, the school I go to was holding auditions for Billy Elliot and soon, when the boys remained at the auditions, they asked us to sing any song we wanted. I sang the first part of this song and everyone loved it. Personally, I would've preferred to have done this than Billy Elliot.

It only ever had a Toronto and then a London run, but both are finished. A world tour is supposed to happen starting in 2011. The music from the Toronto version (which is the one I got to see, and it was about the most amazing thing I've ever seen on stage) was never commercially released, but the London version is available to buy. Googling 'lotr musical' will give the main site as the first result.
