I was privileged enough to see this in London, it was a bunch of teenagers we all were so horrified at the prospect of being forced to watch Lord of the Rings the Musical. But now even if i never get to see another great stage production I wouldn't have wished it any other way. It is a great show and I wish I could watch it again and again. The tricks they used to make the hobbits short, people disappear, and everything else were amazing.
@KadiaSeren I was privileged as well to see this preformed live in London and I agree! But, I was one of the wierd ones that was excited to see it...lol Anyway, did you go by yourself (with family) or with a school group? I went with the People to People Student Ambassador Program in 2008...

Earlier this year, the school I go to was holding auditions for Billy Elliot and soon, when the boys remained at the auditions, they asked us to sing any song we wanted. I sang the first part of this song and everyone loved it. Personally, I would've preferred to have done this than Billy Elliot.
you can get the torrent all over the internet, and if my information is correct you can also download it on the official site, but of that I am not sure.
It only ever had a Toronto and then a London run, but both are finished. A world tour is supposed to happen starting in 2011. The music from the Toronto version (which is the one I got to see, and it was about the most amazing thing I've ever seen on stage) was never commercially released, but the London version is available to buy. Googling 'lotr musical' will give the main site as the first result.
@AnnlawClayShaper Yeah, and from what I've heard, apparently the Toronto version was good, but the London one was better. No offence if you believe otherwise, I'm just saying.
I love this song! It's so quick-paced, so fun and so hobbitlike. I don't think any song based on Frodo's Man in the Moon song can be compare with this. If you can, I'd like to see you try. Thank you HobbitAtHeart for showing this song. I can remember the lyrics thanks to you.
i went to see this play when i was in london a few years back n i absolutely LOVED it, but i didn't get the soundtrack n now im SOO mad lol...thx for puttin up this song...it was my favorite in the entire musical!
@HobbitAtHeart lol was gonna say, the amount of times it tok for me to learn the song too - having the soundtrack helped as the booklet gave you the words
I saw the production in Toronto and The Cat and the Moon is one of my all-time favourite dance sequences. Some of the stunts that they did with the benches were insane. Great musical.
Go on the go petition website and then in the quick search box type LORD OF THE RINGS STAGE SHOW DVD and sign the petition to get a dvd release of the show! And tell your friends!
an orc came up to me i was TERRIFIED they are scary on stage but even scarier right in your face i was sat on my own with my family in front of me coz i couldn't see over this really tall guy so i was even more scared!!!! lol i'd love to try out those bouncy things the orcs were walking on
I remember seeing this in London. It was one of the best shows I've ever seen, and I was humming this tune all night.
