yes but you have to GO out to the caregiving meeting. who fills in? yes from TV star to cinderella regarding income. If there IS other family. One thing that helped a structured bedtime for both of us, it helped me to have extra sleep to avoid exhaustion. yes it is noble.
@IronicallyVague I understand that it is hard to deal with the sick person too. I have been doing this for 13 years, mother had a stroke and has other health issues. I just wanted to put my two cents in, because I wish to divorce an older sibling, but am stuck for life dealing with him.
@doreal slightly harder when they are throwing things at you & are mentally ill lol, but I know what your going thru
Like I said about the family members, You should consider their personalitys before you say you want them to help. If they are the kind of people who don't pay their bills, does drugs, or has a negative personality then your better off if they stay far away. Get a lawyer & make a will as soon as you can...
@IronicallyVague - The lawyer is for the nightmare legal system & laws, fines & fees you'll have to go thru if things are not done correctly.
When a parent dies the chances are you'll have those siblings try & steal everythig they can from the estate, be fair, follow the wishes of your mother & most of all be very careful, you will soon see the true colors of your siblings
@IronicallyVague like this video says you also have to take care of yourself, don't forget that...when you fall on your ass & get sick then there will be no one to help.
It's not just taking care of a parent, the amount of stress your setting yourself up for can be devistating, not to mention the financial trouble....you should be out there making money and are now insted taking care of a loved one....often times the good people like you are the ones who end up in trouble & homeless
@IronicallyVague Sorry I was so negative, My father was kicked out of 4 nursing homes for being a psychotic asshole, no other way to put it nicely... Being old & in a wheelchair doesn't mean they are suddenly nice people, they are the same as when you were little too.
@IronicallyVague Most citys have support groups for caregivers, they offer free legal help, advice, an incredible support system for people who are going thru what you are now.....ASK for that help & advice, you will need it.
& once more?, Don't trust those siblings....in my case if they hadn't tried to steal, cheat & mess everythig up we would have all been very well off...insted now Im left with nothing & they are left with less then they could have had.

@IronicallyVague Instead of smothering the sick person, how about the worthless family members who refuse to help and don't understand.
