You know what? As we watch these old films drooling over these old cars imagine what it was actually like to own a car just like the one in this ad. I drove a 250 c.i. 3-speed manual transmission Chevy. It had its charms, like the rock-solid-but-uninspiring engine that never quit, but today's drivers would not want that car, believe me, no matter how cool it looks. It needs a V-8 to be palatable!
Everything was an option in those days at GM so Chevy including a few optional items at 'no extra cost' was a big deal. The nice thing about options in the past was you could actually customize your car to your personal taste and budget. Cars were actually pulled off the assembly line to have the options installed. That would never happen today as cars (except exotics) come with only a few available option packages. You could also customize the color using any one of GMs standard 1967 colors.
Well, thank god it's heavier than any car in its class. AND it's specially equipped with the second smallest engine offered in the Camaro lineup? I'm in.
@badgerbuddy Actually the camaro is more like a dodge duster.... Heavy, understyled, and a poor competition for Mustangs of the 67-69 years. Makes me wonder why I owned so many Cudmaros... I like my new Z/06 better, but its still a belly button car.
