can i just say maybe if the drummer brung back the full screamin just like casually dressed maybe all of u would find the songs more lively??..coz i think ffaf have awsum technical songs on this album just like the first 2 albums...i rele like this album i think it took me longer to adjust but i think its a great album..3 songs on here are kind of borin but apart from that i think its a gd album and its miles better than tales in my opinion...ffaf have brung back the thrust just matured a bit.

I totally agree with flamecas11.

To me, the new album is really disappointing (as was "Tales..."). Only very few good songs on this one ("Ghosts" and "Maybe I am" among them). The others are kind of boring.. random melodies and very good lyrics that could have been sung in a better way. I'd really like more songs in the style of "Hours" album. : (

huh? o.O Where did you've read that their label wanted 'Tales' to sound that way? What i've read was the total opposite of a 'label-album', it was that the band wanted to make an album they (themselves) would like, they had this new vision of their sound and the concept of the album (including the string instruments).

Isn't it obvious that the label wanted a new post-hardcore album to match the habits of the fans and to sell oodles because this style was well-tried?

Hours is an insanely good album

I bloody hated tales....but i really liked the Great Wide Open stuff....Raise the sails, Out of reach etc

I dont know what to make of this album. Kicking and screaming and beneath the burning tree are awesome, yet the chorus and bridge to this is pretty crap (the riffs are good though), and waterfront danceclub was kindo of dull. However, to add a point to that, all of the other albus had a few dull tracks, so maybe they are just the ones they have let the public hear. Cant wait for memory & humanity now though, should be interesting.

I agree. The chorus and bridge to Wolves are pretty bad. It doesn't keep the intensity of the song, and the lyrics are pretty cliche.

The lyrics sounded fine in the beginning, but repeating them in the chorus is pretty lazy. They've definitely been lazy about their song writing lately. It sounds really cliche, just like theyve given up on trying to work on each song, and just as if they write half a song, and fill it in. :/

I really like this song. The first 20 secsonds, I thought it was going to be another brilliant 'ballad' like History, but then it got heavier and maintained the brilliance. The riff sounded like Avenged Sevenfold at first, but it's delightfully edgey and I have a feeling this album is gonna be on repeat for a while when it arrives on my doorstep.

I agree tbh. I didn't mind Beneath, but Kicking & Screaming was just sooooo dire. They claim this album will be more like Casually Dressed, but from what I've heard so far, it's gonna be nothing like it.
