I give props to this guy in doing his best in trying to fend off the bird without intentionally hurting or killing the bird. If the bird was hurt, I don't think this guy intentionally harmed that bird. It was attacking his dog.

When did he grab ahold of the birds wing? All I see is him grabing the birds neck. When you hear the goose making all of that noise the guy actually threw the goose off of his boat again. Then he started his boat as fast as he could so his dog stopped getting attacked. I don’t think the mate was there.

It was unclear to me if there was another bird, a mate, or if it was the same bird. From you, it sounds like the same bird.

This video appears as though you killed the bird, because at the end, after you grabbed it by its wings, you hear it squacking, then don't see it anymore - only the other bird (her mate) who chases your boat at the end.

You may have gotten close to eggs or something, and it (she) was protecting its territory by attacking the dog on the boat. Her mate was with her.
