I was in a car repair shop when I saw a young NYPD stop a cement truck (the one that has the rolling cylindrical metal), not sure what for but from my understanding the truck was already in the cement company grounds,meaning private property, and it seemed like the cop wanted to give the driver a ticket or worse. He couldn't do anything since its in private property,so the young swine gets on his Impala and stomps down on the gas pedal and drives away full of shame.

This group may have been doing "community service" [sentenced to serve], hence the reluctance by all to say who they worked for, as it would be identifying themselves as convicted criminals. Additionally, they were juveniles - adding another level of offical secrecy. Hint - they were cleaning in a goverment office. You would want your petition signatories to be 18 yrs old. This doesn't excuse the cop's "stasi" tactics, but may explain the situation, and the "mysterious" behavior.

The police is confused too. The reporters should befriends cops as much as possible, because often times cops don't know they were being deceived by the governments as tool of oppression. He should inform them what happen and surprisingly, many cops stand on the people's side when they know what the truth is!
Then he should state that is what he is doing and why. Don't see how it could be helpful unless you are going to be reporting on how cops react to cameras.

I was in a car repair shop when I saw a young NYPD stop a cement truck (the one that has the rolling cylindrical metal), not sure what for but from my understanding the truck was already in the cement company grounds,meaning private property, and it seemed like the cop wanted to give the driver a ticket or worse. He couldn't do anything since its in private property,so the young swine gets on his Impala and stomps down on the gas pedal and drives away full of shame.

This group may have been doing "community service" [sentenced to serve], hence the reluctance by all to say who they worked for, as it would be identifying themselves as convicted criminals. Additionally, they were juveniles - adding another level of offical secrecy. Hint - they were cleaning in a goverment office. You would want your petition signatories to be 18 yrs old. This doesn't excuse the cop's "stasi" tactics, but may explain the situation, and the "mysterious" behavior.

you're lucky, i grew up in nashua in the 90's. if i talked to a cop like that i would have been grabbed, yelled at, forced to give the information and pushed down. those "cops" didn't care about anyone, especially kids. wonderfully though, every cop on the force got fired for abuse. i guess they abuse the wrong person. also, nearly every cop was into wife swapping. a family friend was sleeping with the majority of those cops at the time.

You interpreted that wrong. I said he should have just explained what happened so he didn't waste the time of three people. Since he was guilty of nothing, he wouldn't have self-incriminated himself by explaining the situation.
FYI, I know you're innocent until proven guilty. However, the cops were simply doing their jobs and weren't provoking him. He wasn't doing this to prove innocence, he was doing it to get a rise out of the cops and be difficult. You can tell by his arrogance.

"he was guilty nof nothing " Are you so sure about that?? The problem is that there are thousands of laws and maybe he did address a minor unwittingly. And maybe there is some law that says its illegal to solicite a minor for political reasons.
Not knowing you violated a law is no defense. The cops would have arrested him, not just talked to him.
Your ignorance of the dangers of talking to police is evident in your post.

According to him, he was guilty of nothing. He likes to act like he knows his state's laws by heart, so I'll trust that he did nothing wrong when he says it.
I'm not ignorant of the supposed dangers of talking to police. If I did nothing wrong, I'd give them all the information they ask for because nothing can come of it. If I DID do something wrong, I'd keep my mouth shut. However, this guy says he was innocent, so he could have avoided the whole mess and the wasting of time.

Again you naively state that you KNOW you did nothing wrong.
Ridley Also feels he did nothing wrong but also realizes that he doesn't know all the laws and its much more prudent not to talk to police.
You take the chance of uttering something incriminating while Ridley's silence eliminates that possibility.
Ridley is clearly more informed and knowledgable about interactions with authorities. You are not.

Ridley acts as if he knows all of the laws and says he did nothing wrong. Therefore, how can you say he doesn't know the laws when he said he does? You're trying to make this out to be more than what it is. The guy wanted to give the cops a hard time, it had nothing to do with self-incrimination.
Not being experienced with police interaction is good, I don't do dumb things.

Sorry, he said he knows the laws in a different video, I got them mixed up.
I'm not trying to lead a horse to water, I simply stated that the guy seems like a douchebag who wants to give cops a hard time because he can. I couldn't care less if people agree or not. My intention was not to have people latch onto my comment, get offended, and go on for days about why the video is something great. I was at work, saw the video, made my post, and went on with my day. Your advice means nothing.

yea, you don't understand innocent until proven guilty. You don't have to say anything to cops ever. Just search for a video discussion by a lawyer and cop called, "Don't talk to the police."

How did you derive that I don't understand the idea of being innocent until proven guilty? I never said he HAD to say anything to the cops. I said he should have just given the information they wanted so he could get the experience over with and not waste the time of two cops. Since he didn't do anything wrong, he was innocent.

Dude Ive been walking down the street with drum sticks and the cops showed up saying it looked like a baseball bat. Printed me and my friends, got all of our information and took up like 20 minutes of everyones time for no reason.
I engourage this kind of stuff. Some cops are good and some are dicks.

The cops left because they had nothing on him.Also he knew his rights which turns cops off because they can't act all tough and superior. More people should know their state and local rights when being questioned by an officer. It will prevent some cops from abusing the power they have.

I think the cop was surprised how assertive and calm you were - the fact you didnt give your d.o.b no doubt made his life alot more difficult to check you - I think its important to give them the chance to leave with their tails between their legs gracefully.
