Wow! That is wild! I'm the mother of 5, all singletons, and I remember how blown away I was with each ultrasound of just ONE baby! I can only imagine how surreal it must have felt to know that there were five babies growing in there.

ONe must ask the question that makes many new parents uncomfortable: If ultrasound destroys normal testes function, how can it be safe for a fetus?

They recently realized that the mother's brain sends a signal to the baby's brain during contractions so that the children's brain switch to a brief "stand by" mode so that the brain does not get damaged during the birth. Whatever the mother thinks her milk does not contain all nutriments or in enough quantity to allow her kid to grow properly. People often forget people "in the old days" were doing just fine. Modern medicine is a big step forward but it was often pushed too far. There are limits to what a body can take on long terms!

A few years ago I saw doctors about my knee cartilage tearing. They basically said there was no solution apart from waiting until the pain is unbearable and then replace my knee with a plastic one.

Of course I was not cured, but the pain was much less frequent, the knee seemed to "slide" better as if it was more lubricated than before.

And I notice that only recently some doctors have started to prescribe that kind of treatments although most don't.

They add stuff to make it more (or less) powerful, last longer, combine them with other stuff etc... Which often ends up in major side effects more than the "natural stuff" because they cannot entirely control the molecules and their behaviour on each individual.

Lot's of money? That would be nice (it is pretty expensive to have 5 kids at the same time) but unfortunately untrue. Also, they are not all sons. There are two boys and three girls in the quintuplets plus the two older ones.

Congrats Wilkinson family! I have to say I'm truly amazed and disturbed by some other comments posted here. A) I'm not at all religious but abortion should not be made light of B) It is up to parents to "decide" how many children they want to have and how they achieve getting them (within legal means that is). Nobody besides the parents has a right to criticize this in my opinion (doctors can give advice of course).

Um...well, "it" were born about two years ago and were some of the largest and healthiest quintuplets ever born (see some of the more recent videos). I do appreciate your concern for my wife but I am a little sad that you suggest that I should have killed my children when they were younger. As of December 4, 2009, the mother is fine and so are each of the two year old quintuplets.

What a beautiful family! How old are the babies now? What area of the country do you live? Two years ago we had the Stevenson quints born over here in Seattle. They were the first in this area. I have met them and what an inspiration it is to know the extent of what you go through as a family to have this many babies at once. Congratuations!
