  • why isn't there a pond so the mud could settle out? is that rocket science?

  • That is a common failing here in Alabama. Ponds are often not built at all or grossly inadequate to handle the flow.

  • Common failing has become nonchalant. What really can be done about the monsters all over our country who rape it for profit? You, myself and many others do expect the inevitable. Sooner or later the monsters will be forced to toe the line or we as a civilization will become a relic like the mill

  • Wrong. All the mud leaving these sites is accumulating in areas down-stream causing flooding and property damage. No industry should be allowed to degrade the quality of life for others just for profit.

  • whats the big deal? When the area is fully developed, the mud will stop. Thats just part of construction/development.

  • THe development sites mentioned here are incorrect as we know now. Camden Lake did not have any signs or permit for their part of the discharge so their was no way to know until after a file review at ADEM. We were told by city engineers that this was Williamsburg.

  • Developers Beware!

The Alabama Court of Civil Appeals recently voted to uphold a judges decision that Hurricane Creek is impaired and must be permitted in such a way as to not cause ANY further impact to the creek.

We will agrerssivle pursue any and ALL violators! Clean it up or get out! The third option is to face the consequences of aggressive legal action every time you are out of complaince!
