@DJDAPCrenshaw Much depends on the impedance (Ohms) of the voice coils. I can tell you that amplifying an odd number of subwoofers with a single amplifier can be a little tricky. Feel free to call for a personalized recommendation: 800.315.0030--Crutchfield
okay sorry to keep asking questions, i have brought a 4 channel vibe spacebox amp 400watt rms and its powering 2 90watt rms cdt hd52 speakers. 4ohms i have set the amp to hp but when i turn the volume up about 3 quarters of the way the speakers distort. the gain is at min setting. what should i have the freq on roughly? and there is a switch that says 2-8v or 0.2-0.6v what should this be on? any advice much apreciated. thanks in advance

if an amp has built in high and low pass filters would you recomend it for door speakers as from watching ur vid i found out it is better to have high pass filters for running door speakers?
i was thinking of getting a 70w x2channel amp to power 2x65watt door speakers all at 4ohms.thanks
great vid, very helpfull, 1 question though, if i buy a 4 channel amp (4ohms 55watts 4 channel) and only use it as a 2 channel to power 2 door speakers does this mean it will make 110watts per speaker?
Good question. No, the amp will not simply put out more per channel power X 2. However, you can bridge the front two channels and the rear two channels and use them to power your left and right speakers. If you get your amp from Crutchfield, call us, your Advisor can help you determine the best amp for your needs.
Keeping your two amps the same brand is an optional thing. It usually looks better and makes for a cleaner install, but nothing will go wrong simply because you used two different band amps.
Ok I bought three cvr 12 kickers and im so confused on which amp I can get to run all three of them smooth

@MrJackanorim
That sounds like a great match-up, the extra 5 watts won't hurt those speaker, and you will want to use the high pass filter on the amp.
Feel free to contact us directly if you need any more info.

A 4 channel amp can be combine with 2 channel, but do you suggest having it be the same brand? Any idea…
