i examined him before and found no false in him when i learned he was a galeian herod antipas tetrach of galliee behold the man does he look like a king now has he not been punished enough
@xabun He is quoting Psalm 22. David cries out to God that his enemies threaten him. At the end of the Psalm he realizes that God was with him all along, his protection and salvation.
The people in attanedance at the crucifixion would have understood that Christ was quoting Psalm.
So the unlogic (sic) was not in Christianity but in you. That you would comment on something you do not understand and be so sure of your own understanding.
@xabun Jesus bares the sin of every human that ever lived and during this time on the cross GOD the Father had to seperate himself from GOD the son for the first time ever. Jesus for the first time was without the other 2 of the trinity. GOD the Father had to pour his wrath on Jesus and had to seperate from him to do it. That is why Jesus spoke that of Psalm 22. You being a non-believer have no knowledge of truth. If you did, you would be a believer and not say that this is illogical.
@xabun But the jews wouldn't let him go free. He couldn't do anything else. He did the best possible thing and put the blame among those who really were responsible. The worst part in this is that the jews tried (succeeded) to work around their own law.

Pilate is probably the wisest person in the bible, right next to solomon.
