Could ya emagine some people have never heard of these two! Living legends! I went to the biggest guitar store in my area "GUITAR CENTER" Very nice place. And asked if they and any Tommy Emmanuel videos or anything at all. They said Tommy Who? They never heard of him. None of them! I wanted the Saint Louis show in 2000 I think it was.And the guys there called them selfs guitar players.B-) I am a BASS Player. I can play guitar good enough to realize just how great these brothers are.
To all those who think Tommy is better than Phil and vice versa...they are just different. Tommy is probably a more polished performer, but together there isn't a struck match between them. BRILLIANT !!!
Back then, there were a bunch of lower cost acoustics available with electric style headstocks. Fender made them in bunches. I'm sure there were good ones, too - I doubt phil is playing crap. One of my bandmates had one of the cheaper fender versions - it was kind of hard to get along with, but that, of course, had nothing to do with the shape of the peghead.
Lots interesting combinations from the 1980s have gone by the wayside for more traditional looking guitars.
i reckon phils the better one of the 2, 1) his been playing longer and 2) when the 2 brothers play together tommy is doin the rhythm while phil is doing the technical solos...
Tell me that doesn't sound like Keith Urban in the background. I know Tommy was a big influence. Maybe Phil was giving him some lessons. I know to us Yanks Aussies all sound the same but I'm just saying.
I once walked from Smiggins to Perisher through the snow to see Tommy & Phil and Goldrush play. Hey that was nothing, one of my friends that night did it on crutches, with a broken leg, and walked back again 5 miles. It was worth it.
"Lost in Space" hasn't had a "new" theme song since the late 60s! :-) WHAT A FREAKIN GEM... I am forwarding the link to TEs Mgr... I'm sure TE would get a kick out of this! :-D
and I thought Jason Becker playing the Woody Woodpecker theme was extraordinary. . . mind = blown

I just realized that I think Joe Robinson was the one recording this, just listen to the voice, it makes so much sense

Tommy is better, I think, but Phil kicks my untrained ass any day of the week. Of course, that's no problem since I play bass. xD

tommy is better looking but Phil has always been the better guitarist

No, tommy is far better than Phil. Phil is pretty mad but no way near as good, or versatile, as Tommy.
