@dbaffan1 Hey. I haven't played too many pc games with it. Sadly... my pc gaming days are behind me. This mouse has some weight to it so that might make it more stable for shooters. The mouse is also very precise with a high dpi. Hope that helps. Also very form fitting to your hand for long use comfort.
@dbaffan1 I play Battlefield 3 with it and I absolutely Love it.. not to bulky and battery life is SO LONG... 3 years supposedly but I am fine with 1 gaming.
One important note on the Marathon mouse - you have to clean the lens frequently.... Dust will easily collect underneath and clog it. Then you will find your mouse jerky or stuttering.
I agree with this review on most points (I'm using one right now) but in my experience there is one major issue (for me anyway, because I'm a gamer) and that would be that the middle button sometimes breaks or only works from some angles - this seems to be a somewhat common issue - and forced me to use the button you dubbed the "secret button (:D)" as a middle button.
You also may want to consider zooming in on the mouse so we can see the mouse wheel's movements better.
any help please, i just bought this mouse i can say it's really comfortable on may hand but there's one problem i bought this mouse to replace my old gaming mouse and usually i used the side button for shortcut but somehow it didn't work on DoTA but it's work on any application like word or notepad i allready install the set point software to assign the keystroke but still it didn't work. please HELP T.T
@scizo16 Hi. I was looking over the setpoint software and realized there is a game mode section of the options. I think if you mess around with some of those settings you should be able to make it work. Hope this helps!

I just got this mouse, the problem with the middle mouse button triggering the scroll wheel really bugs me though, since I tend to use it a lot. I found that the issue can be somewhat solved by going into the SetPoint program and just disable "Smooth Scrolling". However, sometimes when using the frictionless scroll wheel, trying to click the middle button can still unintentionally trigger the scroll wheel.
Just bought this mouse today. LOVE IT. Here's my pros & cons: Pros: -solid feel -sleek design -customizable -great ergonomics -cool wheel -side button made me shit bricks (default brings desktop to view of all current programs) -precise movement -battery life Cons: -smooth wheel option is weird for me now so I just use incremental function -price (39.99 at walmart- not that bad though- probably a good value, not a mouse expert) It works great, wonderful feel, huge upgrade from my old one.
What would you recommend for someone who has small hands(I'm a girl and my hands aren't super small for a girl, but a little small), but wants a very durable little mouse(preferably wireless) with minimal drag/lag time? I want something that won't break or get tangled in my laptop case that's still of pretty good quality. Willing to spend quite a bit on it. I'm going to be going to college soon for graphic design, AND I'm a casual gamer. Suggestions, please? ^w^
@UndertakeThis As far as brands go, I only buy Microsoft or Logitech. I would definitely go wireless for portability and if your a gamer you might want some buttons on your mouse. However if your a designer you might want a slightly heavier mouse to make for smoother movements. Or buy a tablet and pen setup. Also look at what the dongle size is. The dongle with this mouse is really small and won't stick out of your laptop far but could be easily lost. Hope this helps.
I have the same problem with the predecessor of this mouse. My scroll wheel seems to be a little heavier on one point and therefore as soon as you release the scroll wheel gravity makes the scroll wheel move about 1 mm up or down most of the time.
This is quite annoying if you are trying to read something! That is why I have the "free spinning mode" always turned off.
Good review. It's a decent, affordable mouse with a fairly nice build quality. It's also quite comfortable for those with large hands. I'm not a big fan of the frictionless scroller, but like you said it can be changed with the switch.
i cant get the 'hidden' button to work...

SuperMito21 2 months ago
@SuperMito21 There is no usb port. There is a spot to store the usb receiver inside the battery panel. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

@psychotrogical The button is damaged. The M705 has a 3 year warranty, just call them and they'll send you a replacement mouse.

Confused between this and Anywhere MX.. dont really need the Darkfield Laser so leaning towards this coz of extra battery life and bigger size

Frictionless scroll is quite sturdy - very nice.
Battery life is great!

Good review. You should get better lighting, though. Even a desk lamp.
